Most of those games are exactly the same for both systems, with a few exceptions, like playing as Maria Bernard in Symphony Of The Night for example.

licensedgames - Keep in mind I'm talking about collecting its JP releases and, generally, the less famous games. If you go for the famous ones, then yeah, your bank account will be drained fast. Luckily, I got most of the famous ones still in the late 90s, when they were cheap! I think Guardian Heroes was 7 bucks or something. stratogustav - I think Balder is referring to the fact that the 2 systems don't share many games, especially when you remember how many Sega developed/published games the Saturn has. Of the most important ones, I can only think of SotN, Tomb Raider and Resident Evil, and some EA or Activision games.

Cervantes That's not true at all. In terms of Japanese games the libraries are almost exactly the same. The only difference is in the Sega published games for the most part.

stratogustav - I'm not familiar with the japanese PS1 library, so there may be more overlap between the 2 systems than I thought. But still: Sega published A LOT during their Saturn days, so I can't overstate how many great games are still completely exclusive to the Saturn, not being rereleased anywhere else.

Well, I had to infiltrate Japanese servers with the help of leaon79s to get some of those games, and there are many more there I haven't get yet. So it is not surprising you haven't seen them since some never see the light of the day in Western networks.

Then I kind of have: - X-Men Children Of The Atom - X-Men Vs. Street Fighter Don't you mean Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom? Pretty sure those are the two games in that. And that's better than the PS1 versions of those in either case as they weren't as good as the arcade or Saturn versions. Saturn was definitely better for 2D fighters than PS1 was.

Yeah, similar games, but completely different.
However I remember the PS1 versions of those 4 games to be really good.
What I don't get is how they were able to nail the wide screen right for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on the PS3, but couldn't do it right for Origins.
I also have the PS1 versions of Guilty Gear, and Double Dragon (VI), but I don't know if those games have a Saturn release. All I know is that Double Dragon is on the Neo Geo too, the one with the the BJ's theme (I need that ringtone).
