Cervantes that's a very nice and comprehensive list of the best titles for those consoles. I particularly applaud all the handheld Castlevania games you listed from the Koji Igarashi era, which are all truly spectacular to say the least. Although the lack of Mega Man 5 in your NES list disturbs me since it is the one with the best all time soundtracks, but yeah, I also agree that besides the first one, all the other Mega Man NES games can easily take those top 10 spots, and the end, you still end up featuring it in your Game Boy Color picks. In terms of time affecting our picks, I feel the same way about how things change. I know 10 years ago the lists may have been different, but I also feel the essence would still remain. It is always interesting to see how how our personal taste may overlap with the general public in some small areas, but it still remains very unique to us on the bigger scale. I also wanted to mention, seeing the 360 picks you had, it made me remember the Sony PlayStation 3 with: - Anarchy Reigns - Asura's Wrath - Bayonetta - Dark Souls - Dark Souls II - Deception IV Blood Ties - Demon's Souls - Devil May Cry 4 - Killer Is Dead - Lollipop Chainsaw - Metal Gear Rising Revengeance - Nier - Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 - Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge - No More Heroes Heroes' Paradise - Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! - Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin! - Yakuza - Yakuza 2 - Yakuza 3 - Yakuza 4 - Yakuza 5 - Yakuza 0 - Yakuza Kiwami And I feel you would definitely like "Drakengard 3", which I highly recommend for you, based on the games you listed. I have to say the PS3 was indeed amazing specially considering all the incredible fighting games and racing games it had, which are among some of my all time favorites. I was one of the few that really enjoyed the PlayStation Move, specially for the light gun on-rail shooters, and I was also a massive fan of the stereoscopic 3D titles. The system basically did everything. That said, I feel the 360 was a lot much better in the shmups department, which is also very significant, and it definitely puts the 360 in a pedestal. By the way, if you only take the first title you picked for each individual console, coincidentally, you also get a very solid top 10 list there that would definitely ring bell.

Oh no, I forgot Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge on X360! I made this little correction there; Lollipop Chainsaw got out. Also, on the GBA I thought that Metroid Fusion had too many problems and should not be above Zelda and MMZ 2-3, so I lowered it on the list. stratogustav - I hope the Drakengard games get a collection at some point, as I would love to play them, especially since Nier started as a sort of spin-off. And to justify Mega Man 5 not being there, it just had a very strong competition, but I like it too. Talking about Mega Man, I didn't even try to rank the Zero series, as I played them long ago and don't exactly remember how I would rank them, which is why I just listed them in order (Zero 1, 2, 3). Zero 4 is also quite good, but in this case I do remember it being my least favorite. I vaguely remember 3 being slightly above the others, but I'm not sure. Mega Man, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Zelda and Panzer Dragoon are all over my list, they are indeed my favorite and most played series. My list undersells the X360, though, as I usually got the PC version of every game that had a X360/PC release: stuff like Mirror's Edge, Metar Gear Rising, The Last Remnant, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Binary Domain and many others could be on the list if I got the X360 versions, so I see it as a really great console. Also, only recently I bought some of its RPGs, like Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Infinite Undiscovery, Phantasy Star Universe and Enchanted Arms (also got Star Ocean: The Last Hope, but on PC), so none of them could get on the list as I haven't played them yet. For the original Xbox, I still haven't played much of Jade Empire, maybe it could enter the list too. I can update it after playing some of these games. A console that is obviously missing is the PS2, but that's because, at the time, I was only on PC, so I don't have particularly strong memories of the console itself. Later on I played some of its most famous games (MGS 2&3, DMC 1-3, God Hand, Shadow of the Colossus, Silent Hill 2, Okami etc.), all of them great. Also, while the N64 has some of my favorites (Ocarina of Time, Sin & Punishment), there are very few games in it that I still like to play, so I couldn't include it either.

Cervantes makes sense Although it sucks Lollipop left the room, it is quite the unique type like many others on that PS3/360/Wii generation, such as the fantastic The King Of Fighters XIII, Catherine, Persona 5, Ni No Kuni, Dragon's Crown, Persona 4 Arena, and many other well received releases of the time.
