Was this was unexpected. Didn't think it would happen when they still have the potential to sell them for $15 each. There is a bit of input lag in the collection but it's not that bad so I'll still get it, and still get my favorites separately if they still show up on PSN with improvements. Now I'll have to play the version of 3 already on PSN and compare back to back with Anthology. Metal Slug Anthology coming to PSN July 5th
So hopefully SNK Arcade Classics, Samurai Shodown Anthology, etc might be in the pipeline as well. |

I had the chance already to get the Anthology on the PS3 from the Japanese PSN store, but I didn't because I decided to get the games individually instead. So now is a good chance for me to get it because this one will be the version with the English menus. Hopefully it comes with trophies, which is something the PS3 version does not have.
I also hope they release:
- Art Of Fighting Anthology
- Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 1
- Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2
- King Of Fighters Orochi Saga
- King Of Fighters NESTS
- Samurai Shodown Anthology
- Word Heroes Anthology
If they realease all of those with trophies, I will buy them all.

PS4 games aren't allowed to not have trophies. Now whether it will have like 12 trophies or a full platinum, who knows.

Lag? Do you mean frame drops? If that's the question yes. There is just too much awesomeness going on screen that Marco slows down sometimes. PS4 hardware just can't keep up with the smooth MVS.
I'm being sarcastic but not really, it does slow down in a few frames of the game, just not often enough to be a problem. Maybe once or twice during a whole completion.
I know this based on the Metal Slug 3 copy I have on my PS4.

You haven't played Metal Slug until you've played it on a MVS/AES with a real Neo-Geo stick.
I remember from my university days there were guys in the cafe arcade always playing it with stacks of coins piled on the machine at the ready. Supposedly it was that good...
To me shame, I've never played a Metal Slug in mah laif meself.
So I guess this is a good chance...?
But it's just the PS2 game, so might as well just get the PS2 disc...
Isn't the Neo-Geo station online anymore?...
I'd have thought it would be a bit more retro-authentic that way ...
(Maybe not as authentic as a real Neo-Geo but...)

It is online, but nope, I have the PS3 Neo-Geo Station ones (Metal Slug 1 and Metal Slug 2), and I remember them having frame drops there too.

The arcade originals aren't completely free of lag either, atleast for the ones I've played.

I went ahead and bought the collection. $20 with a platinum trophy. Looks like pricing if more flexible for PS2 classics on PS4, would be nice if we can get more collections. PS2 had some good ones.

I'm for the task. I need to finish The Last Blade 2 first. I haven't checked it out since before the new patch, I hope it's the fix I was waiting for. Super excited for Mark Of The Wolves with trophies, I have it on the PS3, but I'll get it again. Those games are that good. Pimpjira when is Garou coming out? |
