(...) Those politicians are responsible for sending our men to die out in far off overseas places because they profit from it. That's another problem in the whole world. I live in a country that works like the US when it comes to politics, and our army, despite being much weaker, also pushes the idea of patriotism on us and tries to recruit teenagers with the typical "cool and challenging" advertisement. It's beautiful to have patriotic feelings, right? But they only really exist to defend people in power, it's the same as "long live the Queen" and "hail Hitler" and it gets teens in armies and giving up their lives. Terror? Pffff! The lower ranks of terrorists groups are obviously composed of teens who were taken by similar ideals. If we call what they do "brainwashing", we can't look at what our countries do and call it something else. In fact, I think that's why mercenary/modern pirates became a permanent "class" of character in movies and other types of fiction: they fight their fight for money, they don't risk themselves for someone Else's money. I am for supporting the troops but someone I knew once told me this. She is also for supporting the troops but she says that when you join the military she believes that they brainwash you into believing that you have to hate that person and you have to hate that person enough to kill them.

On a side note, this is why I love The Matrix so much while I hate its sequels: in the first movie, they are the small, autonomous group of rebels fighting against the organized, military-like robot forces. In the sequel, we discover they are actually soldiers in an organized army with a chain of command. So, instead of rooting for the underdog rebels, you are supposed to root for the military. It kills the entire "punk" part of a supposedly cyberpunk movie. Star Wars Ep. 1-3 fell for the same problem - instead of being these mysterious masters, the jedi are turned into a (obviously oppressive) military force. (I haven't watched the new one, so no spoilers, please!)

Nah Bernie Sanders does not have a chance, he is the left wing version of Ron Paul.
When Ron Paul launched his candidature again in the last elections he had more followers than even Obama, and I'm talking even in the blue left wing States, however no one was going to allow him to become president because his ideals included a peaceful foreign policy and cuts on the defence, military bases completely removed from other countries, etc.. People on power could not accept him as a president because of that, so he didn't even won the candidature for the republican party, they even forced him to withdraw all together, even though his chances against Obama were far greater than Romney's.
Bernie Sanders wants to start using alternative energy instead of oil. Which is great, that would mean people of low income will find double the cash on their pockets, but do you have any idea of the global economy repercussions on that? Exxon Mobile, BP, Chevron, Shell, all gone.
These corporations are massive, with incomes bigger than entire first world countries. A complete change in classes, no to mention the sanctions on the Middle East would mean nothing after that. He is more likely to get assassinated with a cancer than becoming president making those changes in the global financial system. People on power would not allow such a thing.

Ron Paul was actually suggesting doing the right thing. I would have done the same thing. I guess its really hard to do the right thing and money rules the world. We should vote this guy in for president: We would get cheaper video games and beer. I approve this message: "Make Video Games Great Again" First act as president: Produce more Sega Dreamcast in America and get Sega to f*****g localize God Eater 2. Hail Lord Karnage!

And we would probably get the Dreamcast 2 and the Vectrex 2084 if Mark is elected.

The intergalactic space arcade and wind squid pub would move on to the white house if Mark was elected. stratogustav would be playing KOF in the white house, and we would be playing a giant version of pac man on the white house lawn just like in this ad. Someone bring the Bud Light?

It's a running gag that CGR has that we all want a new version of an old console like the Vectrex or the Dreamcast. Of course we don't expect that to happen. It would be an economical disaster for SEGA or GCE since it wouldn't take off today as it once did (in a way).
