Would you have bought a Dreamcast 2 based on its line up?

Several of those games mentioned WERE ported to other consoles, like Power Stone and HotD 2. Regardless, those games don't interest me so much. I'm not into role playing games.
A good question! I played a handful of the most acclaimed Dreamcast games, like Shenmue, Hydro Thunder, Soul Calibur, and Mars Matrix, and all of them I found either boring or simply inferior to other games of the same series or genre. Mars Matrix was the second bullet-hell shooter I've played; the first was Ikaruga, which I enjoyed so much more. Every aspect of Shenmue was a total snorefest, from the gameplay to the voice acting. Hydro Thunder was fun, but got old quickly, and couldn't distract me from F-Zero X on the N64, which I think is a much better arcade-style racer. And Soul Calibur felt too much like Soul Calibur 2 (which I played first on GC), only with inferior graphics and less variety.
I've noticed that most of the best DC games are 2D fighting games, which is a genre that really doesn't interest me much. It also has a bunch of racing games and sports games, which was not uncommon for a console of that generation, but they don't interest me either. Many of my favorite games and genres from the Genesis/Saturn eras (namely Streets of Rage, 2D Sonic, etc.) got virtually no representation on the Dreamcast. The FPS genre (another of my favorite genres) was also horribly represented on the Dreamcast because of that fucking controller, requiring a mouse+keyboard accessory just to be playable.
Now the Dreamcast does have a few really good versions of multi-platform titles (namely Rayman 2), but a good amount of them are also available on the other 6th gen consoles (ahem Rayman Revolution on the PS2) and play just as well on them, if not better. And there are even Dreamcast games that had better versions on older consoles like the Sega Saturn!
I'm trying to be as frank as possible. The Sega Dreamcast doesn't appeal to me at all. If it had a good controller that at least had an additional rubberized right thumbstick & 2 additional face buttons or bumpers, my opinion of it would be much better, because many games (namely the FPS games) would've actually been playable, and I would've gotten a LOT more enjoyment out of it. But sadly it doesn't.
