The thing that cracks me up about cinemassace is how old and out of touch they've become. All their let's plays are way behind the hype. Goat Simulator was probably most guilty of this, but even Pokemon Go was kinda late. Respect to James though for realizing that sometimes a series just needs to be retired (for the most part). This is a perfect description of the main Cinemassacre's problem right now. Also, the let's plays make it obvious that James is better at films than games, and sometimes it's cringeworthy to see him playing. I think he really should've sticked to more traditional content, and I miss his movie reviews. Nowadays, he only reviews movies during the Monster Madness (which is my favourite thing about the channel), and considering how he announced that this year's MM will be the last one, at least in its traditional format, I don't have much hope for Cinemassacre's future. |

Cinemassacre sucks when it comes to modern gaming, but it's somewhat funny to watch them try to play those. It's interesting to see someone's perspective on new things.

- UltimateFloyd1 - if you're looking for a meaty review on modern games, UF1 has got you covered. I list this as a discussion channel even if he is primarily dedicated to reviewing games as they tend to be open discussion based. You can tell he is very impassioned about his experience with the games he plays and even though I tend to disagree with many of his opinions quite openly in fact, he's yet to shut me down for doing so.
What would an SNES mini be like?
- TheCompletionist - and no not that loud, obnoxious guy. This one is a truly respectful gentleman who cares about his games and does play them to completion but is also firmly rooted in his philosophies on Youtube, gaming culture and playing games. Every video he makes is a treat because you can always expect 100% genuine personality and perspective.
DKC2 - a completionist's arch nemesis
- ballinnick1982 - if you signed up for long, unedited talks on games and collecting with quality craft beers, then look no further. Nick has great taste in beers and has also managed to prioritize how to collect strategically for modern and old school games of his liking. Very uncensored and highly true to himself, Nick always has a story to tell and one worth sitting through.

Going by the answers I feel that Imperial Khador got me better, few review channels, more about being funny... I went and watched this one from Extra Credits: I don't think he covers half the subject he promised to cover, but what he covers is still valid. For example, the most time I spent playing games in my cellphone, and a friend of mine spends the most time playing Battlefield 4; does that mean we're casuals? Should the fact that our favorite games have "Ninja Gaiden" written in them be ignored? So, cool video. Could use more work, but for the time you'll spend watching it's great. fsfsxiiIt's kinda funny watching that video... Battleborn was in development for longer than Overwatch, and then suddenly characters are similar... Hm... I guess stealing from smaller companies is a pretty valid strategy, huh Blizzard! Makes me wish any of those games were as good as Borderlands, though... |

ExtraCredits is usually lost on me. Cervantes recommended them back in the old pub so I subbed to the channel since they seemed interesting and since then, I haven't made it more than 3 - 4 minutes through a video without dazing. They always have far-out ideas and unique history pieces which is a great deviation from the norm of our gaming-riddled feed but their style for video-making entails jam packing information piece after information piece so you don't have a moment to actually consider what they're saying (unless your brain is making lightning-fast connections). I'm pretty sure they're also using a voice modifier which makes it even harder to concentrate. I had to unsub Game Theorists for similar reasons. spidershinobi - One thing I do like about this thread is that it offers an outlet for us to share great channels we watch/discover so even if some of my suggestions don't appeal to you, that's not to say someone else can't find a nice match from them. I know Pimpjira offered some suggestions that are only a few degrees separated from the Youtube community I dabble in so it's nice to see what surfaces from our replies. |

I just remembered an anime reviewer that I don't think a lot of people follow the other day.
Under the scope reviews
He has convinced me to watch many series, among them Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash and Welcome to the NHK. The problem that I have with him is that much like any other anime reviewer that I like (Demolition D comes to mind right now) he uploads a new video every time it rains in the fucking Sahara.
