Cervantes Actually, I must admit that although the model 2 Saturn pad's D-pad was 1st rate (as Mark correctly pointed out in his excellent review of it), the US model 1's was rather lousy. Not Xbox 360 d-pad level lousy, but it had a squishy feel to it that was somewhat similar feeling, almost like the 360's except without the "sinking" effect. Has anyone else here used one?

Ah, I was refering to the japanese/model 2 controller, I never used the american model 1, for which I also heard terrible things. The pad on the 3D Controller is also excellent, with a slightly different feel but still very good.

Cervantes I owned the Sat. 3D pad as well, but I thought its D-pad felt somewhat inferior to the model 2s for some reason, despite being very similar. Don't get me wrong, though. The US model 1's D-pad is nowhere near as bad as the 360's, because, unlike the 360's, it is actually responsive 100% of the time and reliable, just kinda sticky and sluggish feeling (as well as being too big). That's how I remember it being, anyway (I sold my Saturn looong ago, so I hope my memory serves me right). What were the complaints you heard about it?
