Since it's one of the best selling consoles ever, and one of the most influential, I think it'd be neat to see what your personal favorites are for the system. My personal favorite game on the system is Link's Awakening. The world it creates is charming, and I simply adore the way combat handles. I'm sure to replay it at least once a year, which I hardly do for other games. I've already went into a lot of detail as to why this is one of my favorites of all time on the old forum, I think it was the "What Games Made You Evolve" topic, something to that effect. So, what other games are worthwhile?  |

Wow, I love that old-school Nintendo art! Wish the 3D Link looked like that.
I love lots of Game Boy games, but Donkey Kong '94 is my favorite. The battery died in my cartridge, but I still play through it every now and then. We need more games where DK is the villain.

Everything mentioned so far, but also Metroid 2. Here's hoping its unofficial remake lives to see the light of day, though I'd like it more if Super Metroid could be hacked into it... but eh, they're wildly different games.

Ooh! That's a good question. There are many, but these 2 are definitely my favorites: (Moon Light Sonata, what a nostalgic game) (I always saw Kid Icarus as a handheld franchise, even back then) By the way, I always wanted the Super Mario Land games because I wanted to see the actual end of the Mario series and how Mario end ups with Daisy instead of Princess Toadstool who actually end ups with his brother Luigi. I always thought it was cool how Miyamoto gave us the end of the saga early on so we didn't have to wait 30 years or so to see what happens at the end.  |

I need to check out more original Gameboy titles, missed a lot of those. I've played more GBC than GB.
A couple more I'll add are Kirby's Dream Land and Gargoyle's Quest.
Link's Awakening is definitely a good one but I only played the DX version.

I'll also go with Link's Awakening. It's my favourite Zelda, so that makes it one of my favourite games ever.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Mega Man games on Game Boy, they were great too, same as the one on Game Gear, all really great games.

Bionic Commando on Gameboy may be my favorite game EVER!
Tetris is also awesome. There are many versions and variations, but the original is the best.
