I suffer from high levels of anxiety too. I grind my teeth at night because of this, and so I wear a mouthguard everytime I go to sleep. It helps a lot. Before I started wearing a mouthguard, I used to get terrible tension headaches as a result of my bruxism (tooth grinding), which had devastating effects on my mental state.
Are you taking medication for your anxiety problem, Antony?

This is usually due to lack of sleep, lack of exercises, and lack of greens in your diet.
You should go for a walk at least 40 minutes everyday, maybe put some music, and take your dog.
Sleep at least 8 hours a day.
At least a 3rd of your food should be greens.
Make sure you drink pure water, filtered, tap water has a lot of things that mess up with your head.
As an alternative if you clear your mind 20 minutes a day without thinking of anything, just focusing in your breath, you can do this while walking by the way, anxiety and everything related will also be completely eradicated, even if you fail a bit on the other points I mentioned before.
Also socialize 40 minutes a day. Call up your friends and chat or go out for a talk.
Reading is another good way to relax and keep your mind sharp, you should be reading every day.
Besides work, have a hobby, video games can be one, playing guitar, playing piano, that kind of thing.
If you do all this it is literally impossibly to suffer from any kind of psychosomatic blocks. It is all fixable and you don't need any weird meds or drugs, that are only guaranteed to mess you up in the long run.

People with anxiety cannot just wish away their suffering with a little bit of exercise and vegetables.

Don't forget sleep, and socializing. However, I would agree that if you had been medicated since a young age, the chemicals in your brain may had been altered in such a way that a routine like that will only help to a very limited extend.

Blaming someone's anxiety on lack of exercise and vegetables is a sign of you knowing nothing about people with actual anxiety. One of my friends has anxiety, and she needs medication to keep it check. Sorry if I came out angry stratogustav, but this disorder is not caused by that.

This forum is being overrun with unregistered posters. Without registration, we've got no forum, folks. What we need is registration and accountability. And the other forums aren't sending their best and brightest. Believe me. They're sending their trolls, they're sending their de-railers. They're sending their thread bumpers. These are not nice people. And I have lots of respect for the other forums. I post on other forums all the time, but these aren't the kinds of folks you invite for dinner and a walk through the park, let me tell you. Where is our all-mighty moderator when all of this is going on? Where's Balder in all of this? Oh, there he is. Talking about vegetables. Sad.

Blaming someone's anxiety on lack of exercise and vegetables is a sign of you knowing nothing about people with actual anxiety. One of my friends has anxiety, and she needs medication to keep it check. Sorry if I came out angry stratogustav, but this disorder is not caused by that. I covered that. Someone that has been taking medication since a young age is on a whole different league. Those are disorders, as you mentioned, that's already entering into the realm of bipolarity, schizophrenia, paranoia, etc.. My sister for example has been taking medication since she is 14. She is 23 now. She developed a disorder as a consequence, she frequents the hospital more often than you can imagine, and has been treated by multiple psychiatrists. For someone like her, that has been taking different prescription drugs for so long, of course a healthy routine won't be enough. However lately she has been socializing more and has been off medications for a few months now. She still had a couple incidents, but that's basically nothing in comparison to when she wasn't socializing, and not keeping herself active. So even for people like that, those points mentioned are highly beneficial. When people talk about anxiety, stress, and depression, those are symptons quite normal to experience for anyone, and those are completely eradicated by following all those things I mentioned, daily. There are levels of depression that are even suicidal, and having friends around, activities to follow, healthy habits, goals, etc., have shown much better results than meds, that in my opinion are only a temporary fix that make it worse in the long run, and can even bring you to a state of no return where you become completely dependable of those meds. Dan E. Kool that was freaking hilarious. I love every time you write those speeches, haha.

Just want to clear the air between us stratogustav. I'm sorry if I came out as arrogant or pretentious. Hope you know I didn't mean it. And I take back what I said about exercise and vegetables. They are healthy for the mind and mental state. But there is sometimes a different type of anxiety where medication is needed. These are not very common as the normal anxiety which most people have from time to time. Dan E. Kool I don't think this is a troll as in the same regard as others. Not very offensive.

You gave me the chance to go into higher detail about my response, and I wouldn't have done it otherwise, which is only a good thing. That's just how I talk, at no point I was ever mad. I also understand that to held a public office position is a lot of pressure, and with the opposition attacking you so heavily you yourself may be experiencing a little bit of this anxiety. Rest assured that an overturn of power is very unlikely as everyone has accepted the results of the election, no one is asking for a recount, and the system is transparent enough to project confidence in the suffrage.

Dan E. Kool I don't think this is a troll as in the same regard as others. Not very offensive. Listen, this is not an act of love. These people are coming in here, stealing our posts. And they're not nice people. Some of them have serious issues. But the fact is, Balder is weak on registration. He's a weak moderator. Without registered users, we have no forum, folks. All the other forums have registration. You go to Reddit. You go to Twitter. It's very simple. You register - LEGALLY - and then you post. This isn't a complicated subject. Even Balder should be able to follow along. Do you follow, Balder?

Talks about forums and mentions a message board and a social media. Dan E. Kool is a nutshell. We are facing a completely open forum. The forum is wide open! It couldn't be more open. We have people coming in from across the internet. And Balder - Balder is there as the welcoming parade. He says, "Come on in! Start some threads! Make some posts! Is there anything we can get you?" Give me break. We need registration. Listen, we want new posters. New posters are a good thing. They're not the only thing, but they're good. But they need to come into this forum like everyone else - R E G I S T E R E D. It's that simple. So I'm saying all of these things, getting tons of likes. Balder gets no likes, by the way. Have you seen it? No likes at all. It's kind of sad, actually. Not a single like for this guy. And now he's calling me a nutshell. A nutshell. You're right Balder. We finally found something you're right about. I'm the nutshell. I'm the nutshell keeping this madhouse together. Because you sure as hell aren't.
