Do you like things going your way? Everyone does, I bet. So, what are your victories in customization What are those times you think customization really worked just like you wanted? --- I'm going first. I bet everyone here is familiar with Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. So, for pawn of my main character I picked up a bunch of reference pictures and got what I think is a good rendition of Gillius Thunderhead, though mostly thinking on his design for Golden Axe: Beast Rider since he was cooler in that game. If you guys want I may be able to post a recipe. I'm a little bit lazy to get that now, but this is one of the purposes for me making this topic too, sharing recipes for custom characters that may be of interest for others. Edit: And there they are, my arisen Red Sonja* and her pawn, Gilius. Now that I think about it, it's actually crazy hard to find the delta guard (the lower part of the famous chainmail bikini). *in a previous playthrough she was Tyris Flare, really it's just a difference in hair color.

She looks great! Holy crap! You have great tastes. All my Saints Row characters look like characters from porn movies, but I wouldn't be able to show them; which brings me to ask you: how did you take that screenshot? By chance do you have a capture card? Don't you just love when an essential weapon clips with an essential accessory?

Both Gillius and Sonja look awesome in that picture! Question: have Gillius grown up or is Sonja really small? I also hate clipping problems in games featuring customization. I just experienced those in Dragon Ball Xenoverse: most of my character's accessories clip through the clothes, so it looks awful. About the picture, that is the PC version of SR3, so I just used Steam's screenshot tool. I thought I had more screenshots of her, but it seems this was the only one. Outside Pam Grier, I don't usually recreate characters through customization. I just make either a old, white-haired guy or a redheaded woman.

I like how they had a Guts preset in Dragon's Dogma. It's a shame that they removed his armour from the PC version. I hope someone mods it back in.

CervantesOh hey! Dragon Ball Xenoverse! I completely forgot about that game, how is the customization there? And what is this fetish about old white-haired man? iobhamReally? That's a shame! Dragon's Dogma has a lot of those Berserker references, even that witch girl is one apparently. But after Dark Arisen I feel that they wanted to expand on that a bit, it's through level 2 pitch black equipment that you can get the barbarian rags and the bottom of the chainmail bikini.

Cervantes Oh hey! Dragon Ball Xenoverse! I completely forgot about that game, how is the customization there? And what is this fetish about old white-haired man? There's not much in the way of customization in Xenoverse, it's pretty limited. Plus, the clothes give you different stats, so you end up using the best clothes for your character instead of the coolest ones. About seniors as player characters, it's just that it's so rare to see them (except on fighting games). I can only think of MGS 4's Old Snake right now. I like the idea of the character being this old guy, experienced in war but tired of it. To me, it seems more appropriate than your standard teen/young adult hero of most games. It just gives more weight to the character.

As long as my character can have giant lamb-chops, I'm content.
