My daughter is OBSESSED with Sonic these days. She's a huge fan of Amy. We have the movies, and lately she has been watching the cartoons. So far, here is my opinion on the cartoons. The 1993 cartoon is just awful. They couldn't even get Tales' color correct. Sonic Underground is just dumb, and it has elements to the storyline that are just stupid. Sonic Boom has improved story lines, but it has that TMNT style of computer animation from the time, and it didn't seem to work for me. This one is my daughter's favorite though, so I put up with it. Her second favorite seems to be Sonic X. The animation is better, and the storylines are OK. It can be cringy, but I'm an adult, so I know this isn't for me. I wonder if there will be a return to the animated series now that the movies and games have been successfully brought back to the latest generation?

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog LOL is Ren and Stimpy mixed with Road Runner.
Sonic SatAM was a more serious adaptation of the comics and didn't have any borrowed elements from AoStH. For better or worse, it introduced Princess Sally, queen of the Furries.
Never saw Sonic Underground, but from what I hear, it was just something else with Sonic tacked onto it for appeal.
Sonic X. Saw a few episodes, it was okay but definitely 4KIDS. I read a few watchers didn't like some localisation changes and didn't like the human boy. But what did they expect? It's FOR KIDS! On the bright side, I think the Metarex should be the next recurring villian in the franchise.
Sonic Boom? It waqs supposed to have gotten better in the later seasons.
I've already finished Season 1 of Sonic Prime. It looks promising and keeps you wondering.
