Having your idol (Captain Qwark) turn out to be the bad guy and then save your home planet was awesome! Is that a major plot twist or just something minor and obvious to the player? I'm guessing major as "awesome" doesn't really apply to minor and obvious things. Regardless, you spoiled it so the rest of us will never experience either of those "awesome" moments. |

I remember it being progressive and not instantaneous. But it's been some time since I've played it. |

And why were you a day late posting this weekly discussion thread? This isn't the first time it has happened either. I'm getting tired of this bad habit of yours. Do you even know how much I love the weekly discussions? When I don't see one on monday I freak out. It makes me so angry! You'd darn better have a reasonable excuse. I'm sure Dan E. Kool isn't happy about this, either, and probably has taken note of this slip up. It sure would be a shame if we had to impeach you.... So right. Maestro is so right. You know, Balder doesn't give Spirit Bomb enough credit. He deserves a lot of credit. And I give it to him. But Balder doesn't. The Weekly Discussions are too late! We see it all the time. Sometimes Tuesdays. Sometimes a Wednesday. Honestly, we're lucky if we get one at all. Sometimes, a LOT of times, it's not even there. And it shouldn't be that way. I'm usually on time. But whenever you have your suggestion it has never been on time. Not even once. |

I've never heard anyone complain about Ratchet & Clank on a technical level. As for the comparison with Mario, I can't say much since I've played too few of them. |

To be honest other than Mario Nintendo doesn't really make these kind of games either. It is Rare that used to do that. I would say Rare definitely had a major edge on the N64, but the Sony platformers did catch up eventually. Plus Mario is on its own league just like Sonic. |

They're made competently enough though and they all are polished. |

I'm a PlayStation fan, but I was never into their mascots. They may have acommplished getting the proper polish after the PS1, but I simply don't feel the magic of their N64 counterparts. You raise a great point. On a conceptual level, R&C, J&D, Spyro, they're all sound and even nostalgic anthropomorphic mascots, but every time I've ever picked one up, I have not finished playing it. Mario, on the other hand, I've 100%ed nearly every one that I've played. The closest I've come to caring about a Sony mascot is Crash Bandicoot and even then, that love was short-lived due in no small part to lack of consistency amidst the later titles. |
