I just played through Star Fox 2 on the NSO. I looked at my last save, and I played it in December of 2019 and never gave it much thought. This time around, I gave it a go, and I beat it in less than an hour on Normal Mode, and I never switched to my partner. The game is amazing for the Super NES, and I think I would have loved it back then. I understand why they claimed that it would hurt the N64 Star Fox sales two years later, but I don't necessarily agree with that line of thinking. Much of the sand box aerial combat is rudimentary, and there is a lack of evasion moves necessary to take down Star Wolf. I loved the hectic pace of balancing between defensive maneuvers and offensive maneuvers. The lack of the corridor mode through me off a bit. I did like the land rover, once I figured it out. It was a bit better than the tank and the horrible submarine in Star Fox 64. There is a severe lack of kick ass music like in the first entry, and the enemies don't seem to be as varied. Maybe that would have been fixed if there was an official cartridge release.
Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be a lot here though. I got a C rating, since this was my first time through. I know there is more challenge ahead in the harder difficulty modes, but I'm just not motivated to do so. I'd recommend anyone to give it a try, since this is definitely not a time sink. Star Fox 64 is much better, but it is fun to see how we got there.

I have it on the SNES Classic, but I haven't tried it yet. I only hear good things about it. I remember I was really bad at the N64 version, so I never got into it. I was more a Rogue Squadron kind of guy, but to be fair I never dedicated proper time to it.

Finished up "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" on the PS5.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. I continue to like these JRPG-style Yakuza entries, mixed in with the more traditional entries. Ichiban and co continue to be a bunch of lovable misfits, and I had a lot of fun with them kicking around Hawaii.
I even liked the use of Kiryu as a secondary protagonist a lot more than I thought I would, although this game will be the third or fourth 'rides off into the sunset' moment they've given him in the series, and I really, really hope it sticks this time.

Finished the following games and all their individual trophies on PS4:
- X-Men Children Of The Atom
- Marvel Super Heroes
- X-Men Vs. Street Fighter
- Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter
- Marvel Vs. Capcom Clash Of Super Heroes
- Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 New Age Of Heroes
They are all part of the new launched Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection.
I have to say this is a very significant collection since this is the first time in all the 30 years of this series existence that these games are getting released for home.
We had many console ports in the past for the first Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation 2, and even Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 had a Remake on PS3, but the original arcade versions have never been released until now.
These are the absolute best versions of every single game here, except for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. In my personal opinion, the Dreamcast version of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is still the superior version because of all the extra content it comes with. Then the PS3 version is prettier because it was remade in 16:9, and in HD.
However there is nothing wrong with this version, since this is the most nostalgic version to me because it is the one we used to play at the arcades when it came out, and it is amazing we have it.
I still need to get the trophy to beat every game with every single character, including the hidden characters, but I'm going to take my time for it, specially since I pretty much I got all the other trophies for it in a single day already, so I may as well enjoy the process over time.
The online is very smooth, smoother than ever. It literally feels like you are playing at the arcades, which makes winning that much easier, and satisfying, which is something we also never had before. I can see people getting addicted to playing this game online for ever and ever just for that reason alone.
Of course, to enjoy it at the maximum, I recommend playing it with arcade controllers. Pads are fine, but they will never give you the satisfaction an arcade stick can, particularly for these type of games that were designed with those type of controllers in mind.
With all that said, I still give the collection 10 out of 10. It is simply extremely glorious, and a very nice gift from Marvel and from Capcom in this time and age.
I also finished The Punisher, and got the trophies for it. The game is already a gem on itself, and a very cool addition to this already great lineup of masterpieces. I haven't played it in years. So it is really cool to finally have it as well.

Finished up Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow on the Dominus Collection on the PS5.
I really enjoyed replaying this one. IT remains an excellent game, and the adaptation of the DS titles in this collection to console seems to have gone smoothly.

We have been extremely spoiled this year, when it comes to retro gaming, and all of these incredible releases.

IT remains an excellent game, and the adaptation of the DS titles in this collection to console seems to have gone smoothly. Last year I played the three games on the DS, they're peak Castlevania. I'll also buy the collection soon as a gift for my wife (she loves Castlevania and usually prefers playing her games on PC). I heard that Konami/M2 more or less fixed the annoying QTEs in Dawn of Sorrow, replacing the drawing of symbols for more simple button inputs - that was certainly the most obvious flaw with the game, so that's great. I also want to see how the extra modes in Portrait of Ruin will work with the controller (the PC version lets you also use the mouse, though, so that way must not be very different from using the touchscreen on the DS).

Yes and no about the QTE's. When your entering some of the ones for larger symbols, the button combo can be difficult to remember. But, there's rewind if you screw up. I usually kept a list of button sequence for each symbol.

Finished Portrait of Ruin from the Castlevania Dominus Collection on the PS5.
This was another really fun one. The two-character switching mechanic was cool, and they decided to start using some more 3D polygon background elements and monsters. A very solid entry in the series.

The new Gal Guardian looks pretty solid, it seems Inti is going full Metroidvania with the new one. After the Dominus drop from Konami this comes at a good time.
