unlike games back in the 90s that when they were long it was because they were filled with content worth your time, a game in the 90s that took 60 hours to play had 60 hours of awesome more often than not Except RPGs. Level grinding isn't fun.

That's because games that are long these days are filler with filler crap designed to waste your time without adding anything of value for the sake of making it artificially longer, unlike games back in the 90s that when they were long it was because they were filled with content worth your time, a game in the 90s that took 60 hours to play had 60 hours of awesome more often than not, now games that have 60+ hours of content you know it's just gonna be crap and maybe less than half an hour is actually worth playing, if you're lucky. Modern day exception: Mass Effect. Never forget Mass Effect. 2 and 3 are almost perfectly paced.

My tastes certainly changed a lot. I remember being a lot more tolerant for games with less content and re-playability when I was younger (ironically when I had less money). Nowadays these games are unlikely to find themselves in my shelf, I'd rather buy things I plan on using more than once.
