You know what else is absolute whore shit? Car insurance. For many vehicles it's a fucking scam, yet it's still required by law. A lot of low-end vehicles are garenteed to get totaled in a crash, and with minor body damage the insurer usually hikes up your annual fee, so it's not even worth asking for coverage.
Yesterday I bought a new 50cc moped and learned that even that little thing requires car insurance to legally drive it. Why the hell would something that small need insurance??? So stupid!

Look, I wouldn't be complaining if I could just take a bus or train to get around instead of owning a car, but I can't. Also, I don't believe our government has much say in the pricing of car insurance. That's up to the individual insurance companies. It's a lot like our internet service now that Net Neutrality has gone under. |

Have you tired shaving your own head? It's surprisingly easy to fuck it up by missing a patch of hair, leaving you with an amazingly stupid-looking head. Honestly in my experience its easier to self-trim long hair than it is to do your own buzz cut. I shave my head every day, Chief.
