There's racist, then there's protectionist.

Racists just hate people of a certain kind. Protectionists want to reject people who would make life difficult for those already there. That's what Trump struck me as. He promised more jobs by cutting down immigration, thus leaving more jobs for those people already in America.

There are things that legitimately suck like people obsessing over stupid unrelated things to hide deeper problems.

For example I have a friend that has been mad lately, I know how to deal with him, so we don't fight, but I see him fighting with others for stupid things.

I know deep inside he is only shouting for help, thinking that his irrational behavior is acceptable because the circumstances of his life give him permission to act this way.

It is irrational because that is manipulative behavior, like when little babies cry to get breast feed. The problem is that as an adult all that does is alienate people against him.

That alone can only hurt him more because without noticing it, he is reinforcing his belief that he is alone in the World, and that no one is listening his cry for help.

He just wants to be understood, to seek attention, and to have someone else solving his problems, and since no one does, it is others' fault that he is in that situation.

He is also self destructing himself by chewing tabaco, by getting high at every opportunity to numb his brain, and by not making any effort in dilegently working into fixing his situation.

He gives himself too many breaks, letting time pass by, as if the future will bring an answer by itself, and the present is just a bad dream he wants to get over with.

He doesn't realize that time is limited, and that every day that passes without him changing anything puts him in the same hole deeper, and it will only get harder to escape.

He also expects people to listen his crying out loud by expressing his anger over stupid ego trips that are meaningless with the excuse that he has a moral duty to give these things importance.

He does all of that even though such moral code is completely made up, and in no way, shape, or form communicates the message he wants to put out, thinking people should be able to read this message out of those behaviors that are completely unrelated to what he is trying to communicate, and that it is a message that in a way he doesn't even understand himself.

That message is that he wants to feel important, needed, and irreplaceable, but deeper than that he wants to communicate those things because he wants to feel loved.

At the same time he is aware that some people already do love him, but he tries to block that knowledge because it doesn't match his notion that his is a victim, and therefore, a martyr, misunderstood, and of great importance.

All of that comes down to the human desire to exist, and that a by achieving importance among peers, that desire becomes legitimate, and irrefutable.

At the end people wants to express they are the chosen ones, and considering every one has this notion, maybe there is some spiritual truth behind that belief, that somehow it applies to everyone.

However the knowledge of death messes with people's minds, because it directly defies that notion of existing, and of having that existence to be relevant, and important.

I don't know how I became aware of these things, and it saddens me that's the human condition for many. There is nothing I can do to change that, and even if I can successfully communicate these ideas to him, or to any other one that is unaware of them, I realize it is futile because having that knowledge doesn't make a difference in them, if anything it may even make them sadder for that.

One thing I believe is that anytime anyone feels bad emotions, that's a healthy thing. It is your body, or mind, giving you an alert that there are things that need to be changed, and that you are solely responsible for making those changes, even if ultimately any human effort may appear futile, and meaningless on the surface.

It is also important for people to know that blaming, or punishing others for their own failures is irrational, and that every time they do that, they are adding unnecessary suffering to their soul.
