We always talk about our favorite games, but what about your favorite locations?
I personally like that castle in Lament Of Innocence. I always thought the shinning floors look cool and that the the save rooms were the actual bathrooms.
It can be anything, Zelda dungeons, Mario Kart racing tracks, Mortal Kombat fighting stages, anything, from any game.
Would you to like be there and see it for yourself? Now with VR we can possible do that, so you never know. There is always that chance.
I always found the Green Hill Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog truly fascinating. I would like to race in most tracks found in F-Zero GX. With games we definitely don't have a shortage of cool locations.
I personally know locations that look just like Zack Island in Dead Or Alive that I absolutely love to visit every year. In California all the surrounding areas of my house remind me of many locations in Dirt Rally, and I often have found myself in many roads in the like of Gran Turismo.
So what are your favorite game locations?

The Easter Island Stonehenge stage from BAT. No, it's not two stages. It is actually a place where the Easter Island statues and Stonehenge coexist.

The foggy streets of Silent Hill, just about any place in Final Fantasy VII, a handful of places in Final Fantasy VIII, the tracks in DT Racer (Mt. Kurama especially, I just wanna park the car and go for a walk), Palmtree Panic Zone in Sonic CD and Mushroom Hill Zone in Sonic & Knuckles, the world of Tearaway (that I've seen so far at least, it's adorable) and any flat shaded low-poly place from any old or simple 3D game really. And about a million other locations, but those are some of my top favorites at least.

Sonic CD - Palmtree Panic - Past, Present and Good Future Stardust Speedway - Past, Present Ecco The Dolphin - 75% of the places featured Phantasy Star - Palma Ragol/Pioneer 2, especially with one of these at my side: And since technically, there are Sesame Street games, so Sesame Street! Hey, who wouldn't want to chill with Grover or the Count, or Big Bird?

Speaking of Sonic stages I always loved Hydro city Zone. Granted, I love every S3&K zone but there's something about Hydro city Zone in particular that I like.
I also love the final level from Doom 3 and the Na Pali levels from Unreal.

centipede The planet and space station in Phantasy Star Online are stunning places indeed. I miss that game a lot, I sadly never got to beat it before my Dreamcast bit the bucket.

Sevastopol Station from Alien: Isolation, mostly because the developers nailed down the "used future as imagined by the late 70s" aesthetic from the first Alien film.
Tokio-to from Jet Set Radio and JSR Future. It's so colourful!

Conall Curach in Crystal Chronicles comes to mind. And Xagut Floodmeadows too.

Armored Core Raven Did you know you can still play PSO online and for free? I'm with the Ephinea server. Not bad for a 17 year old MMO. And I know how you feel about the DC. The feels.

Cool topic, stratogustav! Off the top of my head, Hyrule in LttP was cool. The transition to and from the Dark World was fun, seeing the towns and people change into a sort of demonic version of themselves. Kanto in Pokemon RBY is one of my favorites and so is Vice City. For more modern games, 1940s Los Angeles in L.A. Noire. Arkham Asylum in Rocksteady's first Batman game. And the world of Red Dead Redemption nailed the western theme.

Let me add the world of Dark Souls. It's the closest that a game has ever gotten to the same feeling as the Inferno from Dante's Divine Comedy: the same sense of an eerie place that, paradoxically, is both in decadency and frozen in time. It's less about suffering and more about hopelessness and a depressed resignation.
Termina, from Majora's Mask, also has a somewhat similar feeling.
