I paid $180 for it off ebay and let it sit sealed in the parcel for 6 weeks. Finally unwrapped it for a test run. Something went pop and smoke started coming out of the vents.
I went "meh". Seriously.

The machine was meant to have 110V, but then I checked power cord: it was 250V. Fuck

As a European I always make sure my imported stuff supports my voltage. If not, I always use a voltage transformer.

My region uses 220V as standard, so any north american or Japanese stuff has to go through a transformer (not the ones that turn into robots, of course, though that would be awesome).

Luckily, I know a guy who could fix it. I still have my old, broken DC so he could use parts from that. If this accident hasn't completely fried my $180.

Voltage transformers, more than meets the eye. Every gamer needs one at the ready. - Preferably with multiple outputs.
