Back in 2012 a programmer under the alias gravityboots made a Windows PC port of Steve Montero's 1982 Intellivision game Night Stalker to celebrate its 30th anniversary. It was programmed in DarkBASIC and meant to be a recreation of the original, and while not perfectly accurate to the original it did end up being close enough that unless you've played the original lately you probably won't be able to tell any difference. Besides, I don't have any program to record from PC, if I did I would've recorded a gameplay video of this port as well for comparison. |

Although I have to admit PC ports can be really fun, specially with replica controllers. |

Although I have to admit PC ports can be really fun, specially with replica controllers. Indeed, too bad there are no Intellivision controllers for PC that I have found, I would love to have that. I was impressed with the quality of this homemade port, which is why I decided to share it on here. In case anyone was curious about the game this is a simple and easy way to try it out without getting into emulation or buying something. |
