I've always fantasized and pondered about the ways I would tweak my favorite PC games if I was a modder. Unfortunately, I'm not a modder, but I'd be thrilled if someone who is one went and made my ideas into actual mods (some of my ideas probably already are mods, I haven't perused any mod-hosting sites laboriously, so they might already be out there on Nexus or other mods sites for all I know).
Since I've been playing Oblivion a lot lately, I figure I'd just focus on that game for now, and continue updating this post whenever a new idea comes to mind.
Here are the mods I'd love to see happen:
-Realistic wolf behavior mod; this mod would always have wolves (both timber and regular) spawn in groups of 2-7 and never alone (like they always do in vanilla Oblivion).
-Realistic forest mod; this mod would add a much higher density of trees to oblivions landscape (namely its forests), since the "forests" in vanilla Oblivion are far too spacious-looking, and the canopy far too open, for it to look like a convincing forest.
-Unlimited potions and increased jewelry mod; this mod would allow the player to consume an unlimited number of potions, and wear up to 10 ring and 2 necklaces, as apposed to the vanilla limit of four potions, and 2 rings and 1 necklace.
-Layered apparel plus added bracelets mod; this mod would allow the player to wear both clothing AND armor simultaneously, which vanilla Oblivion does not allow. It would also introduce bracelets as a new type of jewelry/apparel, which can be enchanted (up to 2 different bracelets can be worn simultaneously).
-Most powerful destruction spell every time mod; this mod would have the most powerful possible blast radius effect occur every time a ranged lightning spell was cast. Lightning spells are known to produce the most powerful launching effect in the entire game, but only very infrequently, which this mod would fix; they would now be their own spell, with the weaker blast effects being separate individual spells as well.
-Improved apparel enchantment mod; this mod would improve upon the vanilla clothing/armor/jewelry enchantment system in Oblivion, which is widely seen as restrictive and inferior to the vanilla weapon enchantment system in Oblivion.
So, those are my mod ideas. What mods would you guys make if you were experienced at modding? (also, does anyone know of ways I can find modders to commission to make my mod ideas a reality?)
