Today marks the day that America broke free of Great Britan's tyrannical global domination, even though we went on to become somehow even worse than them. So, while it is good that we declared our freedom, I don't think America really has much to be proud of. Who does? Really? Iceland. A recent global survey by the WHO (I think?) to determine & rank the 100 least violent countries on Earth found that Iceland ranks as the single most peaceful country on Earth, with 0% of their government funding dedicated to their military (Iceland has no military). That last fact was actually something I read in an edition of Guiness book of World Records. Iceland has two reliable sources saying how amazing they are. America (as in the U.S.A) on the other hand didn't even make the list of the top 100 most peaceful countries on Earth, meaning that America is technically one of the most violent countries on Earth and one of the worst places to be/live, despite having the biggest economy of any country on Earth. America, land of the free. God bless our "law abiding" citizens.

scipioafricanus Nothing's cheap there, due to remoteness and scarce resources. If you want to move there, they require you to be an entrepreneur and have a business ready to start. They tolerate no burdens. They have thermal energy, at least, even if their showers smell like sulfur.

America, land of the free. God bless our "law abiding" citizens. The 🇮🇸's hunt and eat whales. Still love them? Well, Japan still has a whaling industry, too. In fact, Japan's whaling industry is just about the largest whaling industry of any modern day first world country. A few years back Japan even announced that it would be increasing the production of its whaling in response to rebounding whale populations, much to the dismay of Green Peace and other animal rights activist groups. And both Greenland and China have huge shark industries which cull thousands of large sharks with low reproductive rates (some highly endangered in the case of China) every year all for the sake of soups and chowders. I never said Iceland was perfect. All four of these countries are flawed and I hate their shark industries and the modern-day whaling industry. But they all have one thing in common, and that is the fact that they are all more progressive than america has historically been. I would feel safer in any of these countries, even China. I wouldn't have to worry about ending up in a mobile execution van or having my social credit score deducted to a dangerously low level because I'm not some surly alcoholic slob who posts selfies while drunk or gets in brawls at pubs. Those are the kinds of degenerate filth that nobody should care about. That's just one example, obviously. tl;dr: Yes, I still love Iceland, but I hate the United States.
