Today marks the day that America broke free of Great Britan's tyrannical global domination, even though we went on to become somehow even worse than them.
So, while it is good that we declared our freedom, I don't think America really has much to be proud of.

Any excuse to play with fireworks is great, sadly they are illegal almost everywhere. People still find ways to get away with them though.

I almost wish they were illegal here. There's a firework store close to where I live and my neighbors have been setting them off for close to a week now since they wont be in town on July 4th. I see, I'm a noise guy so I absolutely find festive days to be great. In fact, when I get to the house and all I hear is silence, I turn on something to make noice because silence is depressing to me. I even sleep with noise, either the sound of a ceiling fan, the air conditioning motor, or a 10 hour video of either ocean waves or gentle rain, I also love to wake up with the sound of nature and birds, but I undertand when othets aren't the same, so I still want them to be happy as well with their peace and quiet. I would not bother someone at purpose for that reason. |
