I just got Y's VIII. scipioafricanus wanted me to play Valkyria Chronicles, so he got me a copy of the remaster. I love it (Although it has some strange quirks...), so I just purchased Valkyria Chronicles IV. I don't know where I'm going to get all of this time to play these games!

You still have to play Resident Evil 4

I love the Ys series, you can't go wrong with any of them. I still have to play 7/8/Celceta, though. I have to empty some of my backlog first before getting to them.

Picked up the Etrian Odyssey Untold 1 and 2 on the 3ds for the Black Friday sale.
Been meaning to try out this series, since I liked the Persona Q games

My son is getting quite a few games for Christmas. They are coming from various people, so I'll list them later. However, I just purchased Star Fox Zero + Star Fox Guard for the Wii U. I've been always interested in it, since people panned it. However, hard core fans seem to adore it. I have no feeling about it, but I wasn't willing to take the risk for $60. Today on Amazon, it was $8.95 with free one day shipping. Of course I'll have to take a crack at that.

I don't actually own Star Fox Guard since my copy only came with Star Fox Zero, so I missed on the opportunity of playing that, but I did enjoy Star Fox Zero from start to finish, which thinking about it, it wasn't too long ago, but it feels like ages behind after all the releases Nintendo has had in recent years. That's a nice buy for sure, I hope you enjoy it too.

I just picked up Final Fantasy VIII on the Switch, since there's a massive sale going on now. It is fun playing through a game that is 20 years old, but the music seems off. Perhaps it is because I played it on the Eidos PC edition. The game is still a classic, but I'm not used to the hold your hand style of game play 20 years later. I'm so used to the open world mentality, that I've got to set my mind back a couple of decades to enjoy it. I also forgot how ambiguous the game is with the pseudo 3D environments. I just got through the assassination scene, and I was going nuts trying to figure out where the hell I was supposed to press the action button. I think the PC edition allowed me to press a button to show little white gloves to show the player where activation sites were. I don't know if it is available on this edition.
I am having fun reliving the story, though. The additional options of moving throughout the game without random fights, the 3X game play, and the overpowered mode, which allows you to use your specials whenever, are awesome additional features that give the player the ability to speed through some of the old 90s game play nonsense. This game is definitely a classic, and I can't wait to fly around in the Ragnarok again!

I bought a Pro Controller, and Link's Awakening, a perfect combination for Christmas time.

I just wish I would have purchased the Xenoblade 2 edition when it came out. People swear it is a bit better, although I think the extra cash they paid for it makes them feel that way.

I've got Tales of Vesperia, the Definitive Edition, Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remaster, and Astral Chain. I'm going to start Astral Chain this week. I think I'm set for games for the first half of the year, since it will take me a while to get through these three.
