nerdist.com/atari-retro-handheld-console-classic-video-games/So Atari is releasing basically another Flashback, but this time it's portable. It looks very cool, and I want one just mostly because of that. But is it really good? Who knows? I tend to stay away from emulation boxes, so I guess I won't be getting one any time soon. You can pre-order one here for 35 USD and 6 USD worldwide shipping. So for pricing it ain't too bad. Why would they include Fun With Numbers? Also, playing paddle games on a joystick may also be weird, not sure how that'll go. What's your guys thoughts on this thing?

So what the hell is the Atari box then? Something else. It's weird of them to release this, and we're still waiting for more details of what the Atari Box actually is.

It's got a neat design, you gotta give it that.
Wood grain ftw.

The price isn't that bad, so it might be worth a pick up. I still want 5200 and 7800 games though...

A Lynx remake with all the games built in and a modern screen would have been more exciting for me.

A Lynx remake with all the games built in and a modern screen would have been more exciting for me. Definitely as there is no easy way to play them, except for maybe emulation. Also, the screen on the original Lynx isn't that great. So having an updated version would be great.

I actually liked the games which allowed you to play sideways too. As I recall, the NFL game did that. By the way, Balder . I have seen videos on YouTube which show you how to replace your Lynx screen with a high resolution modern screen. The results are amazing.

Nice looking for sure. On a similar topic, I always wondered how Atari having the license of the arcade versions too, they never release those, they only release the home versions, I do not get it, they had some really amazing arcade games and yet they prefer to release the inferior home versions.
