I told you guys I was getting around to watch this. I've put ot on the film roulette so many times and this time it got picked. It would be on a fay nobody would expect me to watch it. For the record, I always thought it was going to be good, but it was slightly better than I thought. Here's my review:
"Perhaps my most awaited review of all time. There are a lot of expectations, but from me and the CGR pub, and I must say, Commando delivered. It starts off right away with no bullshit, guys are getting cut down with submachine guns, blown up and there are one-liners, just like I would have wanted it. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime, no doubt. He is witty, badass and never wastes a second. The film is apex 80's, it is like one took the 80's over the top action movies and distilled it into one really potent piece of art. The body count is ridiculous, the action is ridiculous, the dialogue is ridiculous, the physics is ridiculous, the pumping soundtrack is ridiculous and everything is awesome. How can you not have a super entertaining time watching this? I laughed my ass off watching it, and because the run-time is so tight, there is never a boring moment. It is perhaps the best ridiculous over the top action movie. It takes everything you know from action films and take it one step further, and for that reason, I cannot give it anything less than a 5/5. One of Schwarzenegger's best, but behind Terminator 2 and Predator of course." 5/5 of course.

Well I'll be god damned. Its rare that I'm almost at a loss of words, but here I am, almost at a loss for words. Balder has watched Commando, enjoyed it, and now we can't bust his balls about it. What are we to do now? Maybe have to shut the place down now. Good job on finally watching Commando, Balder , but saying its not as good as T2 and Predator?  |

Commando still has some of the best lines of any action movie. Everything said by Arnold is iconic. The "You're a funny guy Sully, I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last", plus it's pay off is just perfect.
