I'm guessing it'll be wireless? God I hope so. They said it was going to have many improvements, so that has to be one right? But I'm wondering what the battery capacity will be because of the screen. The PS4 controller has a pretty bad one because of that bright light you cannot turn off.

Are Xbox controllers still running on AAs? Or can you charge them like the PlayStation controllers?

Cool! My main gripe about the duke was that the primary buttons were too close together and laid out in sort of a weird oval pattern that just didn't feel right for me. Hopefully they'll fix that.

You can buy a charge kit that does that, but I prefer to buy actual rechargeable batteries myself. The intergrated, non-removable battery pack of the PS3 and PS4 is one of my biggest gripe about those controllers because you can't chabge batteries yourself and they have a security lock thingy so that you can't charge them with a regular USB AC adapter. And the cable that comes with the console itself is only 30 cm.

You may think so, but the battery capacity isn't that long and when it dies, it's always inconvenient. So since you can't charge it with an AC, you have to play it on the floor right next to the console. I'm reminded of it each time I borrow my brother's for watching Blu-Rays when I'm at my parents' house.

My main problem with using batteries for controllers is that it becomes so wasteful over time. Sure you can use rechargable AAs, but most people don't, and they end up creating a lot of waste as a result.

I know Balder, but still. It's bad. Most people aren't responsible about buying batteries and just go for regular non-rechargable. To be completely honest, the rechargeble battery in the dualshock 3 is one of my absolute favorite features of the PS3. Sony was ahead of the game when they made that decision, IMO.

I can admit that the Dualshock 3 isn't perfect. Not being able to charge while the PS3 is off is bogus. But at least you don't need AAs...

Got an old mini usb charger from an old phone, so I can plug it into an outlet.
