I find myself getting overwhelmed with the number of Wii games on my shelf.
I can't stop buying the games because they're good games that are really cheap but I have no incentive to even set up my Wii. I would sell them but people low ball prices for Wii products. There are like 5 games I genuinely want to play, the rest I'm thinking of donating.

I've basically stopped buying games I don't want to play immediately. My backlog will never be fully played. I now only buy a couple of titles a year.

I have games I've never played, probably never will play, and I still want new titles. Maybe I'll give them to Balder. His Genesis collection is pretty weak.

It's all overwhelming and each person is different. But at least you don't collect arcade cabinets. I've got 3 Cruisin' sitdown cabs stacked on top of each other in the yard, and I don't like the looks of that sinkhole.
On a serious note, try trading them in bundles to get games you want (for fair value of course). I'd hang on to them if I were you and then trade when they become more sought after but I definitely wouldn't go through the hassle of ebay. Trading to people in your circle means you might be able to trade to get them back one day, and helps keep resellers from taking advantage of collectors.

I can't wait to be overwhelmed by Armored Core Raven and Imperial Khador collections when they finally decide to post them over this collection & trading section. By looking at their purchases I can tell those collections must be really sweet. By the way Teddy, the Wii has a weird way to get to you. I'm still collecting for it physically, and digitally while I still can. Its library is just outstanding.

Heh, I have nothing on Armored Core Raven. The vast majority of my collection is digital these days, but I thank you for the mention

There are like 5 games I genuinely want to play, the rest I'm thinking of donating. It sounds like you're having problems with temptation. I've done those things and am now more careful not to do it. I still am tempted to buy new games and even systems, but Man cannot live on Nintendo alone. There's more to life than games and, I don't know about you, but I have voids that they cannot fill. So I've become less interested in spending money on things that, in the long run, I don't really need. Here's some things I do: -The next time you see a games shop, tell yourself: "They have nothing I want" and remind myself that I still have games I havne't played much of. -Think of better things you could do with your money, e.g. a short course in drink mixing? -If you're looking at a case of a game that you're thinking of buying, pick the game to pieces. Ask yourself if you really need it or how long you think you're going to be interested in it. Or find little flaws and blow them out of poroportion e.g. "It's a loli character! Blech!", "This game looks cliche!", "This game looks like a time drain! I don't have time for it!" or "Don't I have something like this?" As for clearing out, sell those that you know would fetch the most and donate the rest.

Or you could use this great tip my Old Man taught me: Become broke. It's easy to avoid buying stuff when you don't have money. Works (almost) every time.

I mean if you bought then, and paid for them in a legal way, they count. It is all perspective. If you have 100 digital games in your Wii, then your Wii is your physical copy of those games, they are licensed for you to play them. If you look at my collection the big majority are digital, and I definitely count them. It would be nice to see that vastness you are talking about. And yeah, I doubt any of us could ever compare to Armored Core Raven. That collection must be on another level.
