Kickboxer starring Van Damme rules. Not only is the martial arts action awesome, but it has the greatest dance scene in movie history. Tong Po is a scary looking dude and looks convincing as an evil martial artist. Van Damme's brother has a cool curly mullet and moustache combo that makes him look like a beefier John Oates. The women in the strip club scene all have fantastic knockers. A solid 5.

I always mix it up with Bloodsport, probably because both movies are awesome.
EDIT: Just to say that Van Damme is underrated and deserved a better career than what he got. Dude even tried to go into more serious flicks with Legionnaire (which I also find legitimately good), but never really had a chance.

He ran out of steam in the late 90s but he had a solid ten year run of awesome and successful movies.

I haven't seen it, no. But as a valuable member of the pub, look at what I've found:

You must watch it now. It's 0100 AM and I've just finished watching "Ran" by Akira Kurosawa, so no. But I will watch later this week.

The problem with Van Damme... he took the party lifestyle WAY TO FAR. He is the same age as Tom Cruise.

As a side note, congrats on watching Ran, Balder. It's Kurosawa at his best.

As a side note, congrats on watching Ran, Balder . It's Kurosawa at his best. I totally agree. Damn was it good. I've watched Seven Samurai, Throne of Blood, The Hidden Fortress, Yojimbo and Sanjuro, but Ran beat them all. All are perfect 5/5 films though. It simply doesn't get much better than Kurosawa.

I think Bloodsport has a bit of an edge over this one.

I think Bloodsport has a bit of an edge over this one. Bloodsport had more martial artists doing martial arts but it didn't have Van Damme doing the Van Damme. I'm torn on that. I cant choose a favorite to be honest.

Also he's in The Last Action Hero, but I can't remember what part he played there.
