I've actually gone back to get the last 3 achievements. I've never spent so much time getting that little gamerscore. The Mill Worker was the easiest; a closed off environment to get all the collectibles. Bog Walker wasn't too bad, I had to look up a map since the explorer perk didn't work if you get it before going to Point Lookout. I had only a couple of places I hadn't been to before. The last one however, Alien Archive (get all the alien captives' logs), took well over 4 hours to get. First off I had to start a new save (if you complete the DLC without getting them all your're fucked. No backtracking... sigh...), then beat the prologue, the whole Operation Anchorage and a couple of small quests along the way to get to lvl 7 before going on the Mothership Zeta. And collecting them takes a long while. All in all I'm pretty content of getting a 100 % of the achievements.

I've heard very good things about 1, 2 and New Vegas. The Bethesda developed Fallout titles seem to divide fans, with Fallout 4 being the lowpoint of the series for many. I'm interested in trying New Vegas, but I probably wouldn't play it anytime soon, since I've exceeded my gaming budget for this year.

I didn't say that. I have heard people say nice things about 3, but I've also heard fans of the original (first) 2 games rant about it. Most people agree that New Vegas improved on 3's gameplay quite a bit.

New Vegas has better followers and minor gameplay improvements (moding weapons). New Vegas is broken on PS3.

I'm willing to try 4 when it comes to VR to see what all the fuzz is about.

I now have over 500 hours into fallout new Vegas. I no lifed the hell out of it. Even on a powerful PC like mine it still has problems running. I think it's because I have too many mods activated at one time. Running it at max settings 1080p ultra high with anti aliasing turned down to 2 samples and antiseptic filtering down to the lowest to improve performance. See if that does anything to help.

What I like about new Vegas is that the main character the courier doesn't really have a backstory. You can make him or her into anything you want. If you wanted them to be a goody little two shoes going around helping people you can. If you wanted to be a jerk to everyone and be evil you can. If you wanted to have a character who doesn't take shit from anyone and just kills everybody as they see fit you can. The rpg elements make the game a step above that crap known as fallout 4. People have said the gunplay was improved ya but the rpg elements are removed and the dialogue system dumbed down like crazy. New Vegas had way better writing then 4 and way better dialogue options. If Bethesda had let obsidian finish making new Vegas we would have got an even better fallout new Vegas game.
My character in new Vegas Alicia melchiott is just a genuine total badass with looks to boot. She has so much firepower on her at all times along with medical supplies, ammo in the thousands, and is seriously carrying enough ammunition and firepower to level a small country all while acting alone. Even on very hard difficulty she just overpowers her enemies and just kills them before they even know she's there. Her karma level is always very good because I can't bring myself to do evil in the wasteland when there is already enough evil around. She's really the savior of the Mojave. Where would we be without courier six? She's proficient in every skill and has fought all the major enemies the wasteland could throw at her and fought off very powerful creatures in shadowland and beat them single handed. Nobody can stop her.

I like that they have gone back and updated Fallout 3 and New Vegas on the Xbox One X. They also updated Elder Scrolls IV.

New Vegas is broken on PS3. How so? Framerate drops to one frame per 5 minutes. Every time you save, the file gets bigger. At some point it becomes to large for the game to handle, and the framerate drops to an unplayable level without a hard reset of the PS3. Because of that you are limited on the time you can play. People have planned out how to play certain DLC's because you can't play all of them at once. That has kept me from playing any of them. And it has never been fixed.

It is massively disappointing. This are not games that you plan on limiting time. The PC version is the one you need or at the very least the 360 one.
