Good series overall I guess, the old PC games have aged rather poorly and aren't very compatible with newer computers and not very easy to play these days because of it, I haven't played much of 3 or 4 but they were okay, but because of one single game I still have to give the score 5 out of 5.
I enjoyed what I played of Fallout on PC but felt the initial time limit was annoying and never got very far because of it, though mostly due to getting Fallout 2 shortly thereafter and thus having an objectively superior game to play made me never go back to the first again, so I ended up playing the 2nd game a lot more, and finally on PC I have Fallout Tactics, I've tried it out and it was okay from what little I remember but I never got into it as I got it just a few years ago and it felt rather dated at that point.
I did however fall in love with Brotherhood of Steel on PS2 and Xbox and still enjoy playing that to this day, hence the 5 out of 5 score, a great game in an good series.

Oh man the fallout series. My second favorite game series of all time. I absolutely loved fallout 3 when I first played it and then I played new vegas and wasn't such a huge fan. Eventually I fell in love with that game too and still play it to this day on pc. 337 hours of play with new vegas on steam. I was actually playing that last night because I downloaded some more mods to it off nexus and made the game just absolutely amazing. When it wants to work right of course and not crash to desktop.
Played a bit of fallout 1 but a lot more of fallout 2. I loved fallout 2 as well even if the first two are really dated. Never played tactics though. Thankfully fallout 1 and 2 both work on windows 7 which is what I am using.

Just finished another quest mod for new vegas. It was good but the creator of it didn't check it out for bugs cause it was buggy as shit. I had to reload my saves over and over just to get it to work right. Had to replay certain areas of the quest just to get it to continue. It was still good in the end though when it did work right of course.

I've only played Fallout 3, but I've played it a lot! It's so much fun every time I get into it. All the unique weapons, collectibles and locations makes it a lot like a treasure hunt. Easily a 5 out of 5.

Yea I even got a platinum trophy on fallout 3 because I loved it so much. That is without the DLC trophies right? I have almost 1750G on Xbox, only missing 1 achievement from Point Lookout and one from The Pit.

I knew of Fallout but running a Mac for years prevented me from playing the first two. I played Fallout 3 and New Vegas on PS3, and I am currently playing Fallout 4 on PS4 (although I have been on a rather long hiatus).
Fallout 3 is a landmark game for me. The first level/area is the best tutorial ever. You literally learn how to play/experience the game while growing up. When I first exited the vault, I had my eyes adjust (nice touch Bethesda) and started running up to the first thing I saw for exploration. That basically continued for the entire game. Fallout 3 has the best plot of the 3 so far. The Wasteland of DC was a great place to explore. I wanted to get all the trophies for the game, but I can't justify going bad/neutral for those. There is so much bad in the Wasteland, that I feel I must be a force for good.
New Vegas improved on a lot of things from Fallout 3, for the most part: weapon mods, followers dialogue/personal story lines, refined perks. Plot is a little weaker, and the overall environment (excluding the Strip) was kinda bland (oh goody, more desert). The big problem with the game is the bugs and glitches. The PS3 version is broken to this day. I wanted to get all the DLCs, but you can't play them all at one time. The more you save, the bigger file you have. As you play more, the framerate drops to more or less zero. With a game like Fallout, you can spend hundreds of hours on it, but with this problem, you are not able to. In the future, I still want to get a CPU were I can play the PC version with mods and DLC for both Fallout 3 and especially New Vegas.
Fallout 4 has a great world to explore, settlements to build, and stuff to find. This is great! But the ending/end game is rather lackluster, and you are limited on your choices for it. I loved playing it till Bethesda decided to patch some of the money exploit glitches. This is a single player game and this is a simple mod on PCs, but Bethesda decided to "fix" this rather than actual game breaking glitches. That pissed me off, and kinda soured me on it.

Man, I've had one HELL of a week; I almost missed this thread because of it. Personally I think the Fallout series has ups and downs, I don't think the first one, Tactics and the original Wasteland (If you consider it part of the series) have aged all that well mechanically and Brotherhood of steel is a pile of shovelware garbage. However I think narrative-wise 2 still outshines all the rest in the series and has aged surprisingly well because of this, 3 is perphaps my favorite in the series despite whatever the naysayers say about it and New Vegas is still pretty damn strong. Haven't played 4 so I can't comment on that one. Overall I think it's a series with the most engaging lore I've ever played, maybe it's a love born out of my desire to watch the world burn but neverless I think it remains as one of my favorite series of all time. And uh.... is Armored Core Raven conspiring to have the exact opposite opinion to mine even before I say it? Yea I even got a platinum trophy on fallout 3 because I loved it so much. That is without the DLC trophies right? I have almost 1750G on Xbox, only missing 1 achievement from Point Lookout and one from The Pit. Let me guess? Bog Walker and Mill Worker? I have all the achievements in Fallout 3 and New Vegas and both of them were ass.
