Out of nowhere I became interested in this topic and had been doing research here and there for many years. I decided to compile everything I found into 12 things and share it with you guys. So take it as you may, this is what I found.
1. Eating fish. It has EPA and DHA already made with omega 3 and B12. Fish is basically a longevity super food. But if you are vegan or maybe you simply can't find mercury free clean fish I guess you can do fish oil. Just make sure you get around 1,000 mg of omega 3 a day. Some fish oil brands only have like 30% so read the labels, and if you are not eating meat have a B12 supplement intake as well with the fish oil. I guess you can do flaxseeds but those are more impractical sometimes.
2. Don't cook with anything that is not olive oil. All those other oils have unhealthy amounts of omega 6 that produces AA that causes inflammation and ultimately fucks you up. If you can't do olive, cannola olive is OK, but pretty much everything else will fuck you up. I guess avoiding dairy would be wise as well considering it falls under this inflammation category, but it is up to you.
3. Eat minimum 3 full cups a day, every day for the rest of your life of spinach or kale, you will need it for your blood, calcium, vitamin K, etc.. Dark leafty greens are essential every day, forever and ever.
4. Avoid trans fats. Your intake of trans fats should be 0. They are found in certain meats and chemically processed foods.
5. Every day do deep breathing exercises. Inhale 20 seconds, hold it 20 seconds, and release 20 seconds. The more the better. You can also do cardio that forces you to take deep breaths either way.
6. Drink pure water, lots of it, your pee should be clear.
7. Sleep 8 hours a day. Don't deprive yourself from sleep.
8. Avoid sitting around, do shit, having a good posture and blood circulation goes a long way, play motion controls games, do gardening, whatever it takes.
9. Read, memorize poems or songs, do math, play video games but don't look for the puzzle solutions or strategies online, do them yourself, basically exercise your brain, you use it or you lose it.
10. Don't do stupid shit like smoking, no wearing sunscreen at the beach, drinking by the lake, or while driving, or working with chemicals that are known to be dangerous like things that go into motors, sprays, asbestos, that kind of stuff.
11. I would add don't stress about dumb things like what people think of you, your status in society, or whether your likes and your general view of the world is right or wrong, it is all good, whatever you are into or believe it's totally OK and fine, nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
12. Always have some kind of goal to get excited about and that makes you happy. It could be anything like planting a tree, getting a certificate, platinum a game, or learning a new skill.
If you do these 12 things you will live at least pass 90 even with somewhat shitty genes unless you get hit by a car or something like that.
