So what is your favorite Vectrex game? I just got myself a Vectrex since it popped up on the Norwegian market (which is extremely rare since it was never sold here and that it is rare in general). Can be either homebrews or actual released games.

Congratulations on your new Vectrex, it is really cool that you now have one. I had never played a Vectrex game, but most of those games look really cool.
I would like to play Berserk, Asteroids, Tempest, Missile Command, Defender, Space Invaders, Galaga, etc., on it, or whatever is the Vectrex version of those games.
I know Vectrex had the original Starhawk that later came out for the PS3, in the same way the SNES had the first Uncharted, and the Atari 2600 had the first Star Fox.

I won it at an auction on Facebook. It came with 5 games (Armor Attack, Berzerk, Scramble, Star Ship and Art Master) including the lightpen! The lightpen itself is worth more than 100 bucks. Unfortunately it came with no overlays (Art Master doesn't have one though).

That is massive luck, just the fact that you have the magic pen is a dream come true on itself. I would be playing Berserk non-stop, maybe is a good thing I don't have one

Well you'll always have the other versions of Berzerk!

We all know nothing beats the Vectrex One of the reasons why the Vectrex is so cool to me is because it is the closest thing we have to what controlling those games in a real life scenario would be like. What I mean is that if you look at airplanes tower controls, they use similar vector graphics to direct air traffic through out the world. So in a cosmic star wars battle, that is the most likely way we would coordinate space battle ships remotely in real time. The same goes for Rainbow Six alike operations, sky air battles, missile commands, nuclear strikes, etc.. In other words the Vectrex is the best real life control simulator on existence.

Man I want one so bad... I think Mark is entirely the reason prices on that thing have jumped, which is both awesome and frustrating at the same time.

manicottimafia well you could look at it that way, but then again, would you know about the Vectrex, or better yet, like the Vectrex as much as you do without CGR?

Just got the Vectrex yesterday and it was absolutely awesome. It's much better in real life than what you see on YT. The vector graphics are really something special; smooth and shiny. Of the five games I've got Scramble was the best. Berzerk was really good too, and Art Master was really funny to use.

I've never played a Vectrex but would like to.
Scramble, Star Trek, Cosmic Chasm, Berzerk, Armor Attack, Bedlam, Hyperchase are all ones I would like to try.

Why wouldn't you want to try them all?

Scramble is absolutely fantastic and it has my favorite overlay by far but I think my favorite game overall has to be Pole Position. The Vectrex is an awesome system for sure, everyone should try to own one someday and if you're really lucky you can snag one from someone who really doesn't know what it is and get a pretty good deal.

I've never told you what I gave for it though! It was 200 bucks shipped which I consider a score. Still it could have been 500.
