- Shin Megami Tensei
- Persona
- Parasite Eve
- Front Mission

How in two hells can you exist in this universe, and never have played any of those games?
That said, the games I want to play... wait, I don't want anything. Hmm. This is a problem that will take some thinking. Or sleep to keep from thinking.

Batsugun and Radiant Silvergun... 200-500 bucks for a single game is just too much. But they sure look super awesome!

-Guardian Heroes. I no longer own a Saturn, I can't emulate it because I don't own a PC, and I'm not sure if I would still be able to purchase it on Xbox Live...perhaps Balder knows? -Gunstar Heroes. I don't own a Genesis anymore, so I have no way of playing it. I have absolutely no more space in my room for any more consoles, either, so it's not like I can buy another Genesis anyways. -Alien Soldier. As stated above, I don't own a Genesis anymore and have run out of room for more consoles, and I can't emulate or purchase on Wii Shop because the OG Wii's online service has been taken down and I don't own a WiiU. -Battletoads Arcade. I don't own a PC so I can't emulate, and I don't own an Xbox One so I can't play Rare Replay. -Contra Hard Corps. For the same reasons stated above. -SM World 2: Yoshi's Island. I no longer own an SNES and can't emulate.

Online support for games (Mario Kart, Smash Bros Brawl, etc) for the Wii has been taken down. The Wii Shop Channel works just fine. Edit: For reference, looks like Gunstar Heroes is also available on the Wii Shop Channel.

I don't know if I'll ever buy a Wii U. If the next Nintendo console isn't backwards compatible, then I'll probably miss Bayonetta 2, which is a shame, since I love the series. Also, both the Wii/Wii U Zeldas.
Another one is Metal Gear Solid 4, the only Kojima made game in the series that I haven't played. Considering Konami's track recently, I don't know if they'll ever port it to current platforms, and I certainly won't buy a PS3 just for it.
Gunvalkyrie. It's not compatible with the 360 and I'll probably never buy an original Xbox just for it.
As you guys can see, platform exclusivity pisses me off. I hate it. If you can't buy every single console in every generation, you'll always lose a few great games. Luckily, it seems Nintendo is the last one doing this (Sony and MS are usually restricting themselves to a temporary exclusivity).

The Vectrex and Neo Geo AES titles-- the systems themselves are just too far out of my price range and, short of winning the lottery, I can't justify spending that much. Cervantes: I don't mind it; without exclusivity, what reason would you have to purchase one particular piece of hardware (other than controller preference?) over another? I can say that, because I made the choice to purchase a couple of Saturns, Neo Geo Pockets or (insert console of choice here), I get to enjoy what truly makes them unique. The more unique/exclusive games a platform has, the better it is in my eyes. I miss the days when there really were valid reasons to consider BOTH a Genesis and SNES or PS1 and N64. Right now, I'd rather buy a PC Engine or Neo Geo CD than either of MS or Sony's current offerings. Weird huh? It's actually the opposite that confuses me nowadays: people get into ridiculous arguments over 'console wars' between similar black boxes...and then go on to compare multiplatform titles and nit-pick resolution instead of discussing who has more/better quality exclusives.

Mister Xiado There are some of these that I may try because I heard they are not so hardcore when it comes to stiff gameplay, such as Boktai, Ni No Kuni, Fullmetal Alchemist, Sword Art Online, and the Tales series. However after watching trailers for White Knight Chronicles I don't know if I'll be able to do it. Maybe if some of these were hentai that would give me some kind of an incentive to learn the playing mechanics of these games, but I doubt there are any localized. So far my hope is to get more into the genre when Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake come out because those promise a more hack & slash gameplay, which is something I actually enjoy a lot. MeleeMonk The Wii Shop works fine, I bought Super Mario World again for the Wii I have in my room because the only copy I had was in the Wii U in the living room and I wanted to have a copy in my room as well. I also have Gunstar Heroes on HD for my PS3, you can get it there as well, it's a nice port.

@player1 - The thing about past console generations is that each console varied wildly in architecture, as there was no "standard", so exclusivity didn't just made sense - it was a necessity, as games were created especifically to take advantage of each platform's strenghts. You couldn't take a game like Castlevania 4 and put it on the Mega Drive without a lot of reprogramming, as it takes advantage of the Mode-7; you couldn't take a game like Ocarina of Time and put on the Saturn, or Guardian Heroes on the N64.
But, nowadays, every "black box" is just a computer with slightly different configurations, so it makes little sense that we should have to still buy both a Xbone/PS4/PC to play any game we want. Imagine if we had to buy different DVD/Blu-Ray players for each specific movie we wanted to watch - it makes no sense.
The Wii U having exclusives sort of makes sense when the games make a heavy use of the controller, and even then, the controller's features are usually tacked on just to justify the game being on the Wii U (it's either an inventory screen or a map).
And what incentive would someone have to buy a particular console? Maybe, instead of "locking" people out of some games, the companies could invest in better built quality for their consoles, in better services and prices. That's how companies compete in other markets, like in televisions (why Samsung and Sony are famous there? It's not because their tvs have "exclusive shows", but because they are built arguably better) or, to take a video game example, the GPU market on PCs (a NVidia GPU runs the same games as an AMD one - you pick one by the price and quality).

MeleeMonk - I've yet to try this one myself. I've found the sound effects and some of the music a bit disorienting in my slight exposure to it so I'm curious if that's something worth overlooking. It might even be that you can adjust them with the SFX adjustments typical of the other Sega 3D Classics on the 3DS.

Well, in contrast the ones I'll probably never play; To be specific Lunar 2: Eternal Blue and Lady Stalker. Lunar 2 is just too expensive and Lady Stalker never got an English translation, many people have tried to translate it but they have all failed :C
Kudos to the team that translated Sweet Home though, that game deserves more attention and I would root for it over EarthBound/Mother any day.

Cervantes: I agree that certain games were difficult to port (Zelda: OoT would've made a PS1 melt before exploding) but not all games-- there were many multiplatform titles even then, just not in as high a proportion as we're seeing now. Exclusivity is a result of either deals between software publishers and hardware manufacturers or first-party publishers doing their thing. In the first case, the publisher gets a cash incentive to keep their title exclusive and the hardware maker gets a feather in its cap when it comes to promoting their system to potential buyers. I'm not a big fan of Halo, Gears or Forza, and there's few other exclusives I find of interest, so the Xbox is personally not for me. For someone that really loves online shooters, the opposite is true. Besides, without exclusivity, what would fanboys argue endlessly about? As far as hardware goes, other than the power supply units on the original Xbox catching on fire and the high failure rate of the 360, I haven't seen any serious issues with build quality on modern consoles. Eventually, all disc-based systems will experience motor failure of course, but with proper loving care most will outlast the average person's interest in them. The problem with the PC market when comparing hardware is that is so dry, clinical and boring-- it just seems like home consoles are already adopting the worst parts of PC gaming (DRM, mandatory online sign-ins and subscriptions, glitches, patches/unfinished games, slow updates etc.) instead of the best parts (free and easy to create user mods, great RTS titles, cheap-- in some cases free--games). I love the GOG model, but it's not profitable enough for console makers' liking.
