Another one is Metal Gear Solid 4, the only Kojima made game in the series that I haven't played. Considering Konami's track recently, I don't know if they'll ever port it to current platforms, and I certainly won't buy a PS3 just for it. Sigma 1&2 not good enough? Gunvalkyrie. It's not compatible with the 360 and I'll probably never buy an original Xbox just for it. Oh, Gunvalkyrie... Bestest box art evah. They could also have gone with this one though. (You're welcome. )

leaon79s - From what I watched of Sigma 1&2, they're not different enough from Black/2 to justify the purchase of a new console. Also, considering the series track record, it's probable we'll still get rereleases of these games in the future... Of course, there's the Yakuza series as an incentive (the games look awesome). It's just that the PS3 is still too expensive in Brazil, and our currency is at value low enough to discourage importing the console (US$1 = R$3,88, so I would pay almost four times the price of the console).

For many reasons, most relevant is that they're not Ryu Cervantes the Team Missions would be incentive enough if they weren't so laggy lol Also, i find it weird how you guys in Brazil pay triple the amount, but here where i live, the currency is sort of similar (1$ is 3.75riyals) to brazil, but we pay the converted amount for games and systems. Why is it expensive there?

Lots of JRPGs, both ones that aren't in English(Sakura Wars series, etc) and that I'll never have time to play them all. Metal Wolf Chaos (Xbox import, I have no way to play japanese games on it and not sure if I will get around to doing so for one game.) Final Fantasy XIV (not paying $15 a month for a game)

fsfsxii - A few reasons. Absurd taxes, mostly: when you import something, you pay a tax for international transactions [6,38%], another for imported goods [60% of the price + shipping], plus an aditional tax of R$12,00 to the mail service (in addition to the shipping you already paid). It's insane. Besides that, the wages in Brazil are really low, so a product that's accessible in the US is considered a luxury over here - and when you add the differency in currency, things can get pretty idiotic. Also, for products bought here, retailers try to profit much more than in other countries: while in the US it's around a 15% profit over each product sold, in Brazil retailers expect a 25-35% profit. The national price for the PS3 at its release was R$4000. If we simply convert to US$, it would be 1030. Imagine that. But then, take into account that our wages are much lower, so it's more like if a PS3 cost around... I don't know, your house, your car and a leg. Luckily, there are laws to lower taxes on pc hardware and software (consoles and their games, for some reason, don't benefit from that, although pc games are treated as pc software. Figures.), so, at least on pc, you pay more or less the equivalent of what would be paid in more reasonable countries, both in components and in games - actually, taking into account the currency conversion rates, most Steam games are currently cheaper in Brazil than in the US. And that's why I've been playing mostly on pc since the last generation: it's cheaper to have a high-end pc than a console, and you can buy lots and lots of games (unless you go the pirate route for consoles, of course). So, when I buy a new console, it's either a retro one or something that really justifies the investment.

Luckily here, gaming is more niche than anywhere in the world, but we still get the games at the same price in US/EU. The only things that sell gangbusters here is Fifa/Cod and that is understandable. Thankfully thats enough for sony to care about the region and for publishers to localize their games for the region specifically.

What really sells here is PES/Fifa, Counter Strike and whatever pirates can get their hands on. Anyway, Metal Wolf Chaos, as mentioned by Pimpjira , is also on this list to me. For other Xbox games, Otogi 1 and 2. Those look great.

Hmm, that explains some things then. (Food is more important than bewbs afterall... ) So maybe that's why alien queen lover Shinobi is so resistant to getting a PS4... Although a PS3's price would've dropped quite considerably by now wouldn't it?... Especially used systems...

I assume you're quite excited by the upcoming Dissidia game, not sure if it has Squal or not, but it has Cloud

You mean the arcade Dissidia? Yeah, I'm looking forward to it too, but don't know if it's heading to consoles for sure just yet. Yah sure, there's Squall and the rest of the main protagonists up till Lightning, plus Ramza (FFTactics). Hopefully will get a Kingdom Hearts Leon skin eventually with the console version if it comes out... It's being developed by Koei Tecmo though, so just hoping it doesn't become too Dynasty Warrior-sy and retains the smooth one vs one playability of the PSP versions... (I just like killing that basterd Sepirof) _______________________ It occurs to me I never answered the thread properly, so... Don't worry about it stratogustav - most of the regulars around here know you're an arcade type of fellow. It's not mandatory to play every supposedly good game there is. I never lost any sleep for never playing a Zelda, or missing out on most of the Metroids, or - gasp- for not caring about anything Mario... Haunting Ground though - It's a cardinal gaming sin not to play that... If you call yourself a true man that is!

Dissidia Arcade would be another one for me if it doesn't get a console release. I think it will though.

leaon79sIt sort of is confirmed for consoles, but after the establishment of its arcade release, and the confirmation of its success. i'll give it mid 2017 release. Regarding nintendo, i find it baffling how people give the cod/ac the crappy attitude, but grovel over anything nintendo. nintendo has been doing the same thing since 1996, mario, zelda and smash (lol), yet no one seems to even criticize them. I suppose its good business. Haunting Ground, man what a game. In the early days of 7th generation, i had that game. Whats truly a cardinal sin is not playing Clock Tower 3, now thats a Gem.

That's good to know then (about the Dissidia). Clock Tower 3 - that's another hidden gem I never knew about to add the list! Chick's not as hot as the Demento one though...
