That sucks. I'm guessing it was the leukemia or complications from the fall? At least he won't have to suffer from any of it anymore. Now just let time help to mourn and be with your mom.

I'm so sorry. I know how it feels to lose a father (I lost my dad to cancer in 2016), so you have my best wishes, centipede.
Take a break from the forums if you need to. Heck, just take a break from life in general. Quiet introspection is one of the best coping mechanisms when a relative dies. We won't expect anything from you right now.

Spirit Bomb It must be harder for someone so young. Is that the reason why you're so health conscious? You had a someone who died of cancer and you want to avoid the same fate? I can relate, but it's that both sides of my family have diabetes, so I watch how much sugar I have. Armored Core Raven We don't know exactly, but he did start sleeping more and going to bed earlier.

No matter how old or how young, it's still hard to lose someone close. My grandma was suffering from dementia, and by end the end of it she couldn't recognize anyone, barely speek and barely eat. Despite all of this, it was still really sad when she passed away. Even though I thought I had already lost the real person a long time ago due to dementia, I could still hug that person and visit them. |

Somewhat. Although my mother's alcoholism and my love of the outdoors both have had a more profound impact on my lifestyle choice. My dad's cancer was due to radon in our basement, so it wasn't the result of his lifestyle decisions, but it definitely raised awareness of the issue in our household. |
