Hit a deer while driving into town this evening. Thankfully I was going slow so it didn't damage my truck, but I'm not sure if the deer survived. It just goes to show how much wildlife is struck by vehicles every day in the US (our auto-body shops make a living this way, at my expense and nature's). I'm just thankful it was a deer and not an uncommon mammal like a badger or a black bear.

It would do people a lot of good if they would slow down and just enjoy life in general. Im just saying. I generally enjoy life much more when the pedal hits the metal. There's nothing wrong with going slow, but when slow drivers don't pull over they force their lifestyle on the rest of us and that's not cool.

I always drive the speed limit and people are still passing me. Fine they can be the ones to get a ticket because im not going to risk ruining my driving record with a speeding ticket. I've never gotten pulled over before and I probably have done some things to warrant a ticket.

I got people a ticket before too. I was driving at the same speed of the second lane car, which is usually the speed limit, while I was on the fast lane.
As a consequence the car behind got frustrated, and before they thought about passing both cars through the right, I let it pass by moving over the second lane.
Naturally, they accelerated, but that was a police zone, and as soon as the car passed me, it got pulled over. I felt bad because I was only trying to mess up with the car, not getting him a ticket.
The person with me was enjoying it the whole time because I was narrating the whole thing, but she burst even more into laughter when the car got pull over. I knew she was evil after that.

You wanna know another reason why I hate driving? Having to pay for a car wash every week during the winter to prevent my vehicle from rusting up from all that f-cking salt the highway department throws all over the place. Yet another example of being forced to give extra money to an evil industry that I don't support.

There are very few industries more evil than the Car Wash if you ask me. I never give them any extra money or support, myself.

One of my biggest complaints about the automobile industry is how much noise pollution it creates. Whenever I go to my POS mum's house I can always hear the sound of cars and trucks moving on the freeway off in the distance, despite it being more than three miles away from her farm house. It ruins the peace and serenity of the rural setting. And to think in some places it's even worse. Anyone ever been to Mount Shasta, California? It's far worse there. The freeway that passes through produces so much noise that you can literally hear it when you're on top of the mountain.
One thing I'm looking forward to is when everyone in america upgrades to electric cars in the future, since they produce far less noise.

If games have taught me anything, is that we should be striving for a future with grappling hooks, dashes and double-jumping. I won't mind the sound of explosions if that is our future in transportation.

Found this just now. What a fucking waste of...EVERYTHING, materials, metal, money, etc. I can only imagine how difficult it will be to maintain.

At $47 billion, you'd think they were building a bridge to Iceland.
BTW driving in the city still sucks!

Well, they are replacing every ferry along the coast with underground tunnels and even floating tunnels. If take a look at Norway's coast line, you can see that there are lots of islands to connect, so it's a pretty ambitious project.

Like the video said, it's going to cut travel time in half. That's literally an improvement of a factor of a 100%. This isn't progress. This is just another case of first world society catering to the automotive industry and car-worshiping upper class socialite scumbags at our planet's expense. Aren't we supposed to be reducing our carbon footprint and our construction? You know what real progress would be? Norway ferrying people across waters on electric blimps instead of building massive floating underwater concrete tunnels that will require constant expense maintenance, could fail the moment a natural disaster strikes (also, rising sea levels anyone?), and will balloon Norway's annual carbon emissions. These tunnels aren't necessary at all. Boats can carry cargo and blimps can carry people across water with minimal impact on the environment compared to this.
