You said that you never cared for the original, so I'm curious. If you're a fan of interactivity-heavy PC games like Trespasser and Devastation then you'll be in heaven with Invisible War. On that note, I also highly recommend Crysis, another outstanding example of great interactivity & physics in video games.

I didn't care much for the original Deus Ex, but if I can pick it up cheap enough I still will. Same goes for the sequels. It was my birthday yesterday so I was out second hand shopping and it was just coincidence that it was that game, among others, that I found then and there, so there was no specific inspiration or planning involved in that exact purchase. As for the suggestions, I've been a fan of Trespasser since it was new and I've tried Crysis. I haven't played Devastation. Trespasser remains a top favorite on PC but Crysis is far too resource heavy, I'll most likely never have a PC that can run it, let alone run it well. I've been contemplating getting some Xbox 360/PS3 Crysis games, if I find them cheap enough, but it's low priority for now.

Heh, for me it's the other way around: my PC can run Crysis pretty well, but there's no way I could figure out how to make Trespasser work on my Windows 10 PC. I've heard that physical copies of the game won't run on OSs past XP, and the game isn't available digitally. I've also heard that even pirated versions of the game don't run properly on Windows 10. Trespasser is one of those "holy grails" in PC gaming; a lost treasure that everyone wants to experience but few people are able to now. One of the reasons I despise EA is the fact that they are one of the biggest offenders when it comes to not bringing their old PC titles to digital markets. As for Devastation, the reason I brought it up is because I remember you posted a while back that you bought a copy. Did I remember this properly? Also, happy birthday! Please accept my present:

Please accept my present: Indeed, Trespasser deserves better than having modern PC bullshit holding it back. I always wished for an enhanced next gen console port or sequel at the time, on PS2 and/or Xbox would've been perfect, but sadly it never happened, so now virtually nobody gets to play it except those lucky few who have strong enough old hardware Windows XP rigs still up and running. And yes, I did buy Devastation quite a while back now, early 2016, it's the second post in this thread. Got some really great games that day. And thank for the birthday wishes! Please accept my gratitude:

Hardware: a second-hand Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 Home EditionPC accessories: Trust Gaming Bundle (keyboard, mouse, mousepad and headset) So you finally bought a Windows 10 machine, huh? Any reason why? A friend of mine was selling it cheap, 500kr (roughly 50US$), and I've been toying with the idea to have a laptop again, like I had back in the mid 00s when I was in [the Swedish equivalent of] High School. I've been looking for a new computer for a while now, as mine is old and will not last forever, and a more modern operating system as well. Since Windows 7 has now been officially discontinued, certain services I'm dependant on will stop supporting it, the most important and urgent one for me being my internet bank service which has warned me recently about how it will not allow me to keep using the service unless I make sure my PC up to date with a modern OS and internet browser for security reasons. So if I didn't get something newer than 7 soon I practically wouldn't be able to pay my bills anymore. I haven't changed my mind about Windows 10 or anything, it's still bad, and Microsoft is still chilling near the top of my boycott blacklist as one of my most despised companies of all time, so I wasn't going to accept buying a new copy of Windows 10 anyway. So it was either try to find a suitable PC or laptop with no pre-installed OS and then try to learn Linux or something, or find a good deal on a second-hand PC or laptop with Windows 8 or 10 on it. So when my friend made the offer a couple of days ago to buy a cheap Windows 10 laptop he doesn't use anymore I didn't have to think twice about it and accepted the offer. Went by his place and picked it up yesterday.
