They may call back but I'm going to have to go on the dole for a while. I'm operating like I need to find new employment. I loved my job too and it paid well. Too bad nobody is hiring.

They may call back but I'm going to have to go on the dole for a while. I'm operating like I need to find new employment. I loved my job too and it paid well. Too bad nobody is hiring. Yeah, even if they get rid of the virus next week. The economy will be shit for some time. Everything is on lockdown, all major sports, concerts, bars, clubs, lounges, cafés, restaurants, live events, theater, schools, universities, government offices, airports, even Vegas is closed. The main issue is that people are expecting to avoid this thing. It is not going to happen. People are going to get it. There is no reason to fear the virus if you are getting it anyway. What people needs to do is to prep because of shortages of food, and because the economy will be shit. That means: - Dumb people stealing shit when they run out of food - Dumb people buying more stuff than they need leaving everyone else hanging - Dumb people buying stuff they don't even need leaving everyone else hanging - Dumb people shooting others because of anger, and fights - A few people in very bad areas may even need to defend themselves, and they need to be ready for that - People protesting on the streets because their conditions are shit That means we basically will get a lot more of dumb people doing dumb shit, massive protests, and people without money. Not good. So even when everyone is already healthy because they can't get the virus twice, the economic repercussions are a given. I would say: - Don't waste your money on toilet paper, that's a waste, just shower, soap is always better than paper - Buy rice, beans, basic food items that can last for months in a recession - Don't waste your money in buying bottled water, it is very unlikely they will cut that, and even if they do, water is easy to purify, if anything you can save on your own - Buy dog food and cat food if you have pets because those can run out if trade is slowed. If airports are closed, borders are closed, people are on lockdowns, curfews, quarantines, and there is a temporary economic recession, then just prep. Just know that dumb people will be abundant on the streets in a few months before things get normal again, which hopefully will be soon after.

Cervantes cobretti is a beast, have you seen his pecs? He will be fine. cobretti if anything they are going to need a lot of truckers after this. They make 80K at least. If everything goes to shit I may consider it myself if my field gets affected. That would be a fine dream ala Bogard, driving Optimus Prime listening to Mötley Crüe.

Things are already looking optimistic. The lockdowns, curfews, and quarantines have demonstrated to be a necessary measurement to fight the pandemic. Even though the numbers are very high, and they keep increasing. The propagation is not as severe as it would be without these measurements. Italy alone had 627 deaths, but they also had the oldest population in Europe. It is important that the new cases continue at these rates because that's the only way the health systems will be able to handle it. If they spike all of the sudden, then the death rates will increase exponentially, and that's the worse case scenario. So even if 70% of the people get it, if they get it over many months, and not at once, then millions of lives could be saved. If countries take proper measurements too late, they have a big chance to have an even worse scenario. So far things look positive in terms of slowing down "the rate" of new cases, again, solely because of the lockdowns, curfews, and quarantines, that are the best measurement against it. Hey, who's saying you need to stay indoors to avoid catching the corona virus? I would argue that the outdoors are much less likely to get you infected. I mean, you're only at risk of catching it if you're in a highly populated area, so it's not like hiking in a state park or natural area is going to pose any threat of contamination. I only enjoy playing games in my downtime. I'm not about to let a viral pandemic keep me from getting outdoors, because I'll get cabin fever if I don't go out in my free time. Arnold. By the way, do you live in a State Park? Check this out, China's poluting gas emissions have went down 25% because of Coronavirus: Also Venice waters have recuperated their transparency because the lack of turism, and even fish are thriving: Earth's biosphere is stronger than many think, and can reclaim its assets with just a little bit of change. This is why I am against the tourism/resort industry; if it didn't exist the wildlife would be so much better off, and we don't even need it anyways. I'm very proud that I have not vacationed since 2013. I've already decided that I'm never going to take another airline again for the rest of my life, even if someone offers me a free ticket. I'm very happy that there is less pollution right now; I've only seen one airliner in these last three days, and its the first time since 9/11 that our skies have been clear of contrails. But even with this coronavirus pandemic, global greenhouse gas levels are still rising, and China produces nowhere near as much as America does, annually speaking.

Ford, Chevy, GMC, etc., are building ventilators because we are going to need those in a few months. It sucks for United States because the obesity problem could cause more deaths considering obese people don't have healthy lungs. 2 out of 3 people are overweight. Also it sucks because people with terminal illness are very likely to die, so even if they had 10 years left of living with a chronic disease, they can leave us now, and miss on those last years. The epicenter is moving to Spain, but in a few months we may have it in North America if people don't stay at home. In Italy you can't even go jog alone, not to mention with a lot of people around. People should realize that they won't have a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones because people that die in the hospitals which are 44% of the people "at high risk", are not allowed to be visited, and once they die, they won't have a proper funeral since those will likely get banned too, once death tolls are above 10 thousand. At best, they will be able to say goodbye through face chat, but it is not the same. Hopefully people take things seriously, that they stay home, so we don't see this happening, and we can avoid it before it is too late. stratogustav Need a good review of Comix Zone from ya. Love that game. As for Chinese telling the truth about the current stats, don't count on it. Hell yeah, I will definitely do so. I didn't like it much back in the day, but I was barely starting to like games again after almost a decade of not playing anything. It was Mark who got me into games again, but now that I am more experienced in classic games I can have a better opinion. My previous opinion doesn't even count considering I wasn't versed in the field. By the way scipioafricanus, I see what you mean about China, even their own people don't trust them: They are definitely strict over there: I guess that's ^^^ how you keep the numbers down. Drills are usually smoother than real life though:

Politically it doesn't look good that China and Iran were the most affected initially. I definitely understand how it looks shady for some. Hopefully considering how everyone got affected they can overlook that, and give us a break, specially if we get many cases in U.S. it will prevent further international issues. We definitely don't need international tension after the already damaging economic impact this is having worldwide. Some people don't know this, but Lombardy which is the most affected area in Italy is not only the richest area in Italy, but the richest province in all Europe, which makes sense since those are the people that travel. That alone tell us the travel bans will definitely help even further to keep the curve down around the world. The quarantines definitely work. Hopefully we can beat this thing. Things are looking promising, but the problem with viruses is that they skyrocket at the last minute, and by skyrocketing I mean really skyrocketing, in the millions. Like I said, it is very unlikely most of us won't get it. The most likely scenario is that we all will, so the best thing is to get it slowly. Here is a workout plan from Arnold: Quarantine game of the day: I guess it's time to try something turn based for a change ^^^. By the way scipioafricanus, I was playing Comic Zone last night, and I'm definitely appreciating it more now. I'll make a review once I have a solid overview of the overall game.

Having more than 4,000 people dead in a single day is no joke. Things will get worse before they get better, that's just common sense, and it is not a good thing. United States is already third in the World, and rapidly raising. This thing attacked the Catholic Church's main country, and the super powers like China, and U.S., not to mention the biggest players in the European Union, which means it's going for the big guys first. So the more we can delay our own contagion the better. Here are some steps Arnold recommends for that: Here is the quarantine game of the day:
