spooie Do you think that Halo 2's gameplay was more competitive than CE's? I noticed that Halo 2 gives you a lot more customization options when it comes to multiplayer, like turning off grenades at spawn for example, which helps reduce grenade spamming and puts greater emphasis on gunplay. I also noticed that the gamelpay was noticeably faster, and the weapons generally seemed more balanced than CE's, too. Also, what did you think of Halo 3's multiplayer? .... I didn't particularly care for Halo 3's multiplayer. Seemed like a step back for me for the most part. Thankfully, I thought Reach fixed a lot of what Halo 3 did. Really? How so? And thank you for responding! I was wondering for the longest time when and if you'd respond to our questions. I don't mind if it's late, I'm just happy to hear your opinion.

Halo 3 had the best campaign, and corridor shooter? Have you played The Ark, Tsavo Highway, Halo, The Covenant missions spooie ? Halo 3 just reminded me of "go from here to here. Shoot something. now here. Shoot something else. now here. Drive to the next point. now here." Halo CE and Halo 2 felt like you could explore and take alternate paths wherever. I honestly don't recall any specific mission names, so I can't respond on that front. Sorry. CE and Halo 2 seems pretty open and with several paths, but it's actually strictly linear. The only game in the whole series where you could different paths is Halo Reach; Attack on Sword Base and the Alexandria night mission are two that comes to mind.

In my experience Halo CE was by far the most spacious Halo of the original 3 games. Halo 2 was basically a corridor shooter in comparison, and I don't remember 3 being much more open ended, but it still had several instances of enormous level design (like the scarab fights). Halo 2 only had one scarab fight and not only was it scripted, but it was set above a instant-death gutter, meaning that you weren't allowed to move around during the fight. Honestly I prefer Halo 3's campaign over 2's, but it's still no where near Halo CE in terms of spaciousness.

But it's actually linear and you don't have a choice of where to go. I'm not taking any credit away from it CE. It has a kickass campaign!

Balder Yeah, linear but very spacious. Actually that reminds me, what do you think of the second half of Halo CE's campaign? A lot of people seem to dislike it for taking a corridor-shooter approach and being repetitive, but honestly I still think it was done well, and the final level (The Maw) was amazingly executed.

I think all of the levels are great. My least favorite is probably The Library since it's so long and repetitive.

Maybe, but the illusion of space in Halo 2 was fantastic - The panoramic vistas were the best I had seen in any game of the time.

Balder Chill. I didn't "assault" you. I just didn't know that it was a turn-based thing.

Balder It's always hard for me to tell when you're joking for some reason. Is it because I'm not a one-dimensional parody character of a recent president?
