I just finished watching an old school Christian Bale movie on Netflix, the movie only has a 3 stars rating but I gave it 5 because it was fairly cool. I liked how the final boss was actually something, I got hooked when I saw Agent 006 was at the beginning. Here are some clips of the movie: Any other recommendations? I'm in the mood for another one.

Something of a similar ilk to Equilibrium? (i.e rebellion against established societal autocracy...)I suppose there's 'In Time' starring Justin Timberlake... Like Equilibrium, it's not the most well known or best reviewed SF flick there is but something about it struck a chord with me. I've been meaning to watch Cloud Atlas myself though...

Atari: Game Over is a pretty fun documentary of the Mexico dig. It has one of the best re-telling when it comes to Atari's rise and fall.

I just came here to say that Equilibrium is F****** AWESOME, BEST MOVIE EVER 10/10.
Seriously, I love that movie. It's just so stylish. It also has my favourite fighting style in any movie ever - I always wished Gunkata became more of a thing in videogames. Sadly, I can only think of 3 occasions in which it was extensively used: a mod for Max Payne 2, Bayonetta (although the moves are very different) and Linkle's moveset in Hyrule Warriors. Just look at it and tell me it's not inspired by Equilibrium:
If you guys know any other game that uses gunkata, please tell me.

leaon79s Those are really nice recommendations, exactly what I was looking for, thanks man. I haven't seen any of those, they look cool. @guillion I saw that movie long time ago, I could probably watch it again since I can't remember anything. Thanks for the recommendation. Balder I saw that documentary a few years ago so I still have it fresh. Spoiler, they did find the games. Cervantes I didn't even know that style of shooting had a name. If VR starts bringing shooters on rails I will definitely use it myself.

stratogustav - Yeah, they mention it by name in Equilibrium; it is a style created by the movie's director, and supposedly reused in a later film of his called Ultraviolet - I still haven't watched it , but I heard it's terrible, so I'm holding my expectations low. Cloud Atlas, mentioned by leaon79s , is a great movie. Just keep in mind it's a very slow paced and slow movie, and the multiple timelines are confusing at the beggining. But I do recommend it. Other obvious recommendations very similar to Equilibrium are V for Vendetta and, of course, the main inspiration for all of these dystopic films, the movie version of 1984 (my country's Netflix doesn't have this one). Another awesome one (also not on my country's Netflix, maybe you're luckier) that I highly recommend is Children of Men. Here's a trailer:

@gustav Glad to be of service! Don't forget to post your opinions of them! But don't neglect your MGS (I know you have... )There is only one movie to watch in Netflix really. Ho... I thought I was the only one around these parts that liked Dead Poets Society... See, we're not so different... Seriously, I love that movie. It's just so stylish. It also has my favourite fighting style in any movie ever - I always wished Gunkata became more of a thing in videogames. Pssh... still loses to CQC. Big Boss will disarm them easily...

Cervantes I'll check Ultraviolet. I'm watching Aeon Flux, so I may like it. I already watched Children Of Men a couple of times. It was good. I didn't know they had an older version of V For Vendetta, I definitely want to watch that one. The only one I have seen is the Watchowski Brothers one which I own on Blu-ray because I like everything they do, even Speed Racer. The last one I saw from them was Jupiter Ascending, I didn't know they had another one, Cloud Atlas is news to me. I'll definitely see it and probably buy it too since I collect their movies. leaon79s I'm guilty indeed, but MGS is like a cool movie anyway, so I'm definitely excited to go through it all.

stratogustavIf you like documentaries I also recommend Blackfish. I can't say I'm entirely down with the whole environmentalist movement but this is one of the best pieces of propaganda to come out of that particular bubble. A documentary following the life of the Orcas at Seaworld and their trainers, and the bullshit the big wigs put both of them through. The documentary had such at impact that Seaworld lost about 33% of their stockshare in 2013 and Pixar had to rewrite entire segments of Finding Dory. There is only one movie to watch in Netflix really. Ho... I thought I was the only one around these parts that liked Dead Poets Society... See, we're not so different... O Captain, my Captain.

@gustav Well, that's what we're here for right? - To help each other out...? Glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know they had an older version of V For Vendetta, I definitely want to watch that one. They're sisters now!
Btw, I was asked to pass a message on to you. It was from... EVA in Snake Eater. I believe her exact words were, "Oh Gustavo, when will you be coming to meet me?..."
Dewd... You shouldn't keep a lady waiting...

leaon79s In a way we already live in a similar society. To get money you need to work, and working, unless is something you love, takes time of your life. So time is in many ways a big commodity of our culture, at least for the majority of people. I didn't know that about the Wakowski, I wonder if they just want to make an statement. And yes I've been meaning to finish Snake Eater. I'll pick it up soon. thefurox Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds like something I will like. I'll check it out.
