I'm not talking about fixing bad games or wishing for sequels, but just small additions to games we already consider good ones.
As I'm playing through Zelda: A link between worlds, I keep thinking about how nice would be if every Zelda game had a hard mode. The closest we got was the second quest in LoZ and the Master quest for Ocarina, but they're more like remixes of the main games than a hard mode: I just want an option for harder enemies and for the game giving me less rupees/hearts/fairies every time. Just including a hard mode would do wonders for this series in my eyes.
Also, for a lot of games, a way to pause the cutscenes. Usually, you either have to watch or skip them, but sometimes I just want to answer my phone/door without missing on it. Luckily, the other game I'm playing right now, Red Dead Redemption, has this option.
For Mega Man ZX Advent, an option to turn off the voices. The voice acting is cringe worthy and unnecessary for a 2d game, so it would be much better if I could just read the text and listen to the music like in every other Mega Man game ever.
Any other suggestions?

I would add a nude code to the original Tomb Raider.

I wish they'd bring back the old alt-fire for the stinger in UT4 since it was pretty satisfying to get hits with and you could even do crazy stuff like climbing walls with it. UT4 is a work in progress anyway so maybe they'll bring it back. Also, It would be nice if Cannon Spike were around $50 cheaper.

Hey, I just discovered that there IS a hard mode in A Link Between Worlds... After you beat the game. That's a small change I would like in a lot of games: just let the player choose the dificulty level from the get go, don't make it an unlockable feature.

Cervantes along with Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword, Wind Waker HD, and Twilight Princess HD all have "Hero Mode". Breath of the Wild will also apparently have a hard mode coming in the summer.

I wish all older games and consoles would had the option to output natively in 4K, or at least 1080p, and with a 16:9 non-stretched aspect ratio, so they can look on modern TVs as good as they look on CRTs.

That's no small change! Small change for achievements in single player games: for the 100% completion, don't count with achievements from online modes. Sometimes, the servers are quickly abandoned by players or turned off by the developers, so the achievements turn impossible to get. About Zelda: I haven't played the Wii/WiiU entries, so I didn't know. I'm glad they added it, then, so my change would just be turning them optional from the very start of the game.

I was just thinking about how much I hate the music and sound effects for Super Mario World. I mean it's not bad, but compared to SMB3 it's like nails down a chalkboard.
Luckily it is actually possible to change it. I hear tell you can even add cd quality music and put it on a custom cart.
I guess I would also change the fact that I suck at platformers.

Cervantes - No worries. I didn't mean it so much as a correction. I just thought you'd like to know. For Skyward Sword, you have to complete the game once, like Link Between Worlds. Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD have it available right from the beginning. As mentioned with Breath of the Wild, it is part of the DLC content, which suggests to me that once downloaded, it will be available from the beginning. I'm not crazy about this last one, but BotW is a _big_ game, so I'm not sure how wide-spread the changes will be, and since it is bundled with the other DLC, it will be difficult to gauge its value by itseld...for me anyway.

Ah that game... I have such mixed feelings about that game. I really wish they could remake it and take out the linear game play. I hated waiting to explore areas, just because a damn hole hadn't been created in the clouds for me.

Saint Seiya Senki, that musou clone for the Ps3, could have been a way better game just by adjusting numbers. Making special moves significantly less damaging on regular enemies and having their AI be slightly more active would work wonders for it. In addition to it, adding difficulty settings for every scenario instead of making separate scenarios for different difficulty settings. Pretty annoying how the flaws in that game are so pronounced when they could have been fixed just by beta testing it...
As for the Legend of Zelda, "Hero Mode" doesn't really fix it, but there's no need to worry for Miyazaki did release a patch to fix Zelda, it's called Dark Souls.

I have Soldier's Soul, Brave Soldiers, and Sanctuary Battle. I keep hearing this supposedly musuo game, but none of those are musuo, they all play like regular arena fighters. A musuo Saint Seiya game would be nice to have.

I hated waiting to explore areas, just because a damn hole hadn't been created in the clouds for me. Maybe something for the future. That was a pretty common complaint about Skyward Sword. It didn't bother me too much, but I definitely think it was a valid concern. I think Nintendo listened though. No matter what one thinks about Breath of the Wild, it definitely isn't too linear.

Battle Arena Toshinden 2: Have the music not restart in between rounds. This is a shame since the game has such a good soundtrack and we only get to hear the first part over and over again. The first BAT did not do this and you could actually enjoy the whole song.
Also, have the players have more health. The rounds end too quickly in this installment. It's weird because in the third one they have too much health.
It seems only the first one got everything right, but the second one could have been the best because of its extended roster of characters.

winnersdontusedrugs They're bringing out UT4? Probably just 7n time to compete with Quake Champions. @billpreston Now that you mention Super Mario World, I would have Yoshi handle more like how you controlled him in Yoshi's Island. In some games with open worlds, particularly RPGs, I'd like to see more randomisation, like not having the same powerup located in the same spot every time. Also different quests every time you start a new game.
