For every country, they can declare their own milestones. This is nothing more than the Kellogg-Braind Pact. If that's true, why not just adjust the targets? Why pull out altogether? The bigger picture: Do you really want to declare what people exhale a dreaded pollutant?

China and India are allowed to continue their industrialization efforts for more than 13 years. Considering they are 2 of the most polluting nations, that doesn't make much sense if their pollution is causing climate change. So the US has to limit its economy to the sum of several trillion over 10 years as well as foot the bill for a lot of other countries efforts, but China and India can continue as business as usual? That is just a bad deal for the US. As the President said, he was elected to represent Pittsburgh, not Paris. Do you really think China cares about the environment? They want the US to be weakened so they can assume a more dominate role in the world. This treaty was a good way to help that along.

What I keep reading, though, is that all goals and targets that each nation sets for itself can be changed on a whim without any repercussions. If that's the case (and it sounds bizarre at best) why not just stay in the agreement to be part of the larger discussions and reduce the targets set by the previous administration? A Google search hasn't gotten me confirmation that it's even the case, let alone the logic in pulling out of an agreement with so much leeway.

Trump just pulled us out of another deal. His nickname should be "the deal-breaker". He sure is shaping up to be the most dysfunctional president in American history.

Before Trump won the election, I was definitely more skeptical towards Clinton. How bad could Trump really be? But I every time he's in the news there is something bad he's done.

And not every deal is perhaps that important, but pulling out of non-obligatory deals gives the US a bad rep.

Article 2, Section 2, Clause 2 of the US Constitution Empowers the President of the United States to propose and chiefly negotiate agreements between the United States and other countries, which, upon receiving the advice and consent of a two-thirds supermajority vote of the United States Senate, become treaties under international law. That never happened so there was not agreement with the US. And diplomacy only works when both sides agree and bind themselves to the rules of the agreement. Hint Hint... Iran didn't

Look back in history and you'll see we've had some really terrible leaders in the past. Start with Andrew Johnson if you're interested. Still, Trump will definitely end up with an interesting chapter in the history books, that's for sure.

Ok guys, answer me this. What has Iran ever done that would make them trustworthy enough to be allowed to become a nuclear power? Once again, Our President has bailed America out from another lousy deal negotiated from a position of weakness instead of a position of strength. Thank god for Donald Trump.

If things shake out in the Korean Peninsula, history should remember him as the first great peacemaker of the millennium. Sadly, I’m sure the Neo Marxists that will get to write it will probably leave it at “Fuck Drumpf”.

The same UN that failed to stop genocide in Rwanda, Serbia, ran rape gangs in Africa... that wouldn't support their own resolutions against Iraq (which called his for his removal) And the US being a sovereign nation doesn't need UN approval, don't ya know. And Iran has been at war with the US since 1979... so what is your point?

When the US is a member of UN's Security Council they should actually follow procedures made by the UN instead of following them when they decide stuff. It's very poor politics of them to do so, and it weakens the UN's resolve. The US never found anything that could be linked with weapons of mass destruction in Iraq despite waging war on those speculations. Even the guy who presented the speculation to UN has admitted he regretted ever doing it. This is why the US has become synonymous with being the world police, a shitty cop at that.

It isn't the US's fault that ole Saddam was a poor poker player; he bluffed and lost. Plus, WMD was found just not the BIG FIND that everyone wanted. They UN is pretty much irrelevant especially when put the likes of Cuba, Congo, and Syria on the Human Rights Council. But you brought up Iraq when this started about a bad Iran deal, chief. I can understand you got them mixed up with all the Trump Winning.
