There really aren't many company secrets revealed at E3 anymore. It seems like everything is leaked. I really haven't been hyped for it since the late 90s. What really bothers me is the fact that I really can't stand the format of some pompous CEO holding his hand in the shape of a triangle or a diamond as he talks to us like he really gives a shit about us. Then they usually spend a half of an hour patting themselves on the back. To me, the luster faded a way a long time ago...

The only thing that leaked was the Evil Within 2 announcement through a reddit ad. I enjoy E3 for the atmosphere, but so far, MS' and Bethesda's conferences were either boring or uninteresting imo. I can at least say i will enjoy Sony's conference, thats where they announce all of the games that interest me. |

I think there isn't much enthusiasm this year, generally. I don't mean only this pub, but most sites/channels I've seen are barely covering it, just giving one or other quick report. I haven't seen any game that grabed my attention yet: everything seems very by-the-numbers until now. One cool thing is the Xbone getting retrocompatibility with original Xbox titles, but it seems they haven't said how many or which games will be supported. |

I personally was hoping they would just stick with the Scorpio name myself. (That would've sold me... maybe cause I'm a Scorpio too... )But alas... XONEX... X1X... oh...  Yah, like dschult says, the head honcho self congratulatorials are eyeball rolling fer sure. As are some of the more cringeworthy scripted stages (Battlefront II I'm looking at you)But some of them devs being genuinely passionate about their project are respectable enough. Like that 'A Way Out' fella... he was ok I thought. fsfsxii - Dewd, the Bethesda show just now was pretty kewl with their Bethesda land thing. Gotta hand it to them for being a little different in terms of style. And Wolfenstein 2 has to count for something... (Even Balder should be able to appreciate that one...  ) |

Yeah, not a big fan of E3. I'm sure it's a lot of fun if you get to go there in person, but reading about it online? Nah.

I want to try Doom in VR. That Wolfenstein trailer was badass. I loved how they went straight for the flame thrower on those things, and the fire guy is from Station 1, cool. I have to say The Evil Within 2 looks dope too. Spencer will definitely sell those things for the Blu-Ray and the smaller size. 4K Blu-Rays are expensive. You may as well get a console and play Killer Instinct and Forza, specially considering that PS4s don't play 4K Blu-Rays. Although I heard the One S does all that already. I liked that a 2D Dragon Ball Z fighter on consoles got stage time. I'm glad Namco is finally listening. I wish they do the same with Saint Seiya, and I hope that Arc System Works don't make it too casual like Xtreme Butoden. I also like all the trailers surrounding the time. I like that new song in Bloodstained. Also Ace Combat 7 looks amazing. I can't wait for the VR mode. AC7 is probably my most anticipated game after Super Mario Odyssey. We have to wait to see what Sony will show. Hopefully Gran Turismo Sport will get a release date. I was busy playing Tekken 7. I even got the plat in a few days because it's really hard to put the game down, way too addictive. Some very close friends came over and we spend literally over 5 hours trying to defeat the last battle of Devil Kazuya in the Story mode. I know some people just put it on easy, but we had too much pride, LOL! Although Akuma wasn't bad. The story is quite amazing actually. I really like it.  |

I don't see how a console being a blu-ray player would be attractive nowadays - I don't even personally know anyone who watches their movies on blu-ray, everyone I know went straight from dvd to streaming/buying online/torrenting their movies (myself included); the rare physical movie may come in a thumbdrive, like what Mark is doing with CGR movies. |
