Such a shame Metroid 3ds is 2.5d and not true pixel art. Don't forget we got a pretty much perfect Mtroid 2 pixel art remake recently, the fanmade AM2R. Its quality is up there with Zero Mission and Fusion - it's that good, and all the more impressive for being non-official. So it's good that now we'll have both options of remakes.

I don't know. I'm unfamiliar with the Rabbids. Is this gameplay style based on their series? The Rayman Rabbbids games aren't Rayman games. They are just simplistic mini games where you typically just mash a button. Check out any Rayman Raving Rabbids video. Actually, don't!

So far, I'm looking forward to the following:
Shadow of the Colossus - PS4 remake - As I mentioned earlier, I never got around to playing the PS2 or PS3 versions, and this looks pretty gorgeous Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - I played through the Uncharted series and enjoyed them earlier this year. I likely won't pick this up at full price, but it will be on my radar in a year or so after release
Metroid Prime 4 - Nothing beyond a title, but I should get around to finishing 3. Metroid: Samus Returns - I really liked the AM2R fan release last year, so hopefully this will be good as well. Nice to know we still have a few good 3DS releases coming. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - I never got around to playing the original or X, but this seems to be the only big JRPG featured at the show this year. I should get around to the earlier two entries. Super Mario Odyssey - Looks like there will be some neat power ups. This one definitely looks interesting, and had a really nice trailer Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC - The next two DLC packs look intriguing Fire Emblem Warriors: I was interested in this already, but nice to see a bit more footage
We'll have to see what else pops up by the end of the show

Just found time to sit and watch the Nintendo conference. (Not a priority for watching live as I don't own any contemporary Nintendo consoles)
XENOBLADE 2!!!! I don't know if I really like the anime style, but it is a Xenoblade game. I will give it a chance. Aaargh.... Xenoblade 2.... Dammit - they got me... Insidious basterds. I'm going to have to buy a Switch now... Don't forget we got a pretty much perfect Mtroid 2 pixel art remake recently, the fanmade AM2R. Its quality is up there with Zero Mission and Fusion - it's that good, and all the more impressive for being non-official. So it's good that now we'll have both options of remakes. Haven't you heard? Nintendo took that down, man. Copyrights. After Xenoblade, Metroid 2 was the second best news. A pleasant surprise. Makes the regret of missing out on that fan game finally justified. Now I won't need to bother tracking it down anymore even if it is still roaming the internets somewhere. But.. That means I also have to get a 3DS now... Oh... Like I said... IBs.

leaon79s If you do want to give the fan remake (AM2R) a shot, let me know and I'll hook you up. It is well worth a playthrough, even with the 3DS remake on the way. Not too long either. I think it took me around the 6-8 hour mark. (Clearly not a speed runner, me.)

Imperial Khador - I had made my peace with missing out, but if you know of an easy link - that'll be grand, thanks! Don't know if it would be advisable to link here though, being technically illegal and all... Since I watched a lot of E3 for the first time in years (thanks to this post), I have a few observations. First off, the arguing about "who won" seems to be debated in the same fashion. Fanboys don't seem to understand that the entire show should be celebrated for the joy of gaming, not "who won and who lost." Secondly, I have noticed that CEOs and big wigs still love to force themselves on to the general public. Joe Q. Public does not give a damn about the majority of the bosses out there. We only care about the product. Finally, as fsfsxii said, the fanboy complaints were all covered, but the complaints seem to consistently morph into newer laments about either the minutia of gaming or the standard operating procedure of a company's development schedule. Overall, I think it was a descent overall expo, but I think the luster could be brought back if it was every 5 years or so. (I know the money dictates otherwise.) Most companies promote their products through the internet or their own news service via their system. Mark covered the World's Colombian Exposition in Chicago in 1893 early on in his career. In his documentary, he pointed out how the fair showed the great new inventions which would change the next millennium. I realize that was a different era, but the comparisons are clear: it was an exciting fair due to the fresh experience. E3 seems...stale.

I hadn't planned on following this E3 at all until this thread, either. I still basically only looked at the Nintendo stuff with any real interest, but yeah. The "who won" thing was the first thought that came to mind when I saw this thread. It's what I associate most with E3 and it's the reason I generally avoid the whole thing. It strikes me as incredibly childish, yet on the internet 30 and 40 year old men with (I assume) jobs and lives, argue about E3 like video games is their religion and Sony and Xbox are their competing gods. Really weird. About the CEOs and John Q Public, I think that kind of ego is just part of the job description.
