I'm honestly just guessing base on the track record of that guy. It could very well be another deception. It wouldn't be the first time someone doesn't deliver. |

I just got the first update from the company. I like what they are doing with the concept here. I also like the fact that they are going to only talk specs with a working prototype, unlike the Retro VGS. What do you guys think? Atari Box Update #1 |

I love the design. It even has a Darth Vader edition. But I'm very curious to see what games they're going with.

Why would we need another Atari Flashback clone console? Those already exist. However, a Retron-ish Atari console that plays all Atari computers, 2600, 5200, 7800, Jaguar and Lynx would be cool. As long as it's not the new OUYA. I'd bet money it won't play original cartridges. Has anyone in the history of man ever been more right than I? Nay, I say! For my cranium blossoms truths like a PEZ dispenser provides mediocre candies. |

I've just read that the Atari Box will be crowdfunded. Why? "To minimize risk". I'm a little skeptical of crowdfunded consoles, especially since we've had so many terrible ones like the OUYA, Coleco Chameleon and whatever the latest one was (The Sigma or something, the silver Genesis one).
