Since they didn't show it at E3, I suppose I'll create a thread here. I'll be honest, this had my interest piqued, but the failure of the Retro VGS has me very cynical as of late. I won't be putting down any money, until there is an actual product to be shown, that's for sure. The Atari BoxSo, what are your thoughts? I would love it if it was an Atari all in one which could play 2600, 5200, 7800, and computer games. With the advent of the Retron 77, it can't be a 2600 clone. Also, this article says that Atari is a New York based company. Since when? I thought it became a French company? |

The cool thing though is that they are asking for developers. That means they want to make some games, which is interesting considering this Atari Box.

I don't know what I want this to be. An Atari version of the NES Classic? That would be cool. Add some online features like multiplayer to beef it up, maybe.

Apparently, even Forbes is now talking about this mystery machine. I don't know if I agree with his entire premise, but he does call the Lynx "criminally underappreciated." Forbes & Atari |

We are getting a new Atari and a new Sega while Nintendo is strong again. You can't beat that.
Maybe the commercial is missguiding, but the guy from Yakuza, F-Zero GX, and Super Monkey Ball, appears to be announcing a new Sega experience similar to the R-Zone, except good and made by Sega.
Augmented reality looks cool, and we haven't heard anything from HoloLens in a while, so I'm down for others jumping in.
