This thing launches on Indiegogo later today (May 30th). I'm not holding my breath, but it'll be interesting to see what they'll show since they haven't really shown us anything but the design and empty promises.

They've revealed the campaign. I have to admit it looks super cool, but I do get the feeling it's not as great. All they mention is how it's based on the 2600 and that it runs Linux. That's not very convincing. I also hate stuff that is timed exclusive. But people seem to be backing it. Almost 2 million USD of a goal of 100 000.

I feel like Rich nailed it why people want this. It's a collector thing. People know it'll fail, but want to be a part of gaming history by buying it. Hell, even I kind of want to. |

Video Wow. I haven't seen one of his videos in years. I'm not used to seeing his face, since he used to talk over game play footage the entirety of the video. He may be right, but I don't know if it is going to be an "utter failure." If it acts as a successful steam box, then it will do well. Software isn't important if you're going that route. |

Rich flip flopped for a long time before finally sticking to that format. I think it's better than the generic gameplay commentary format. |
