I feel like Rich nailed it why people want this. It's a collector thing. People know it'll fail, but want to be a part of gaming history by buying it. Hell, even I kind of want to. They are charging more for the wood grain one. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING in scamming people.

Meh. This guy is always begging for clicks. When I read about this, I knew he would make a video. I'm not surprised about the footage either, but the author of the game specifically said that he was going to make the code for it, and it doesn't seem that hard to do.

I saw that video too, and the guy is dragging things way out of proportions. To defend Atari here for once, they never stated that they played any of their games on actual Atari hardware. What do people expect when it's on Indiegogo instead of Kickstarter? Indiegogo doesn't require a working prototype, didn't people know this, and why Atari chose it as their platform. This YouTuber is such an attention whore and probably got jealous when more people backed the VCS. I much prefer RTU on these sorts of news because he actually have some thoughts on the matter before blurting out another "scandal".

He's right, but the question is, didn't people already know that this is Indiegogo and that they aren't required to have a prototype? The way he depicts these "news" is like Atari was hiding the fact, when they nonchalantly confirmed it, and that they are in talks with the company who makes Tempest 4000.

Yeah, I watched a video of this guy speculating, and I started to jump around after 2 minutes. He had absolutely nothing to add to his E3 speculation video, but it went on for 7 minutes or so. Comically enough, a large portion of the beginning is his unnecessary introduction sequence. I think I'm done watching his videos after this Atari video. I don't want to defend Atari either, but this "scandal" video is more than enough for me...

I'm not buying one anytime soon, since I don't have cash to throw around. (Kids cost money...) I've been rather skeptical for a while now, but I think this can be an excellent case study for a sociology project on group think. There are a ton of videos out there just like this, and everyone keeps on saying, "I'll be the first to say that I'm wrong if this comes out, but..." Then there's the comment section. Hundreds of comments are screaming about this being a scam. In a way, I'm hoping that this does come out, and the dozens of You Tubers who say the "This is a scam" axiom, but "I will be the first to admit," will have to say something...
As for Atari, this strikes me as bush league at best. This guy should never have done this interview, because he isn't going to know the specs. Also, they should have had someone else interview who should have been prepared by his staff for the "gotcha" questions. People are trying to bury this project. Why make it worse? Finally, what the hell is this guy doing with the Register? There are far better groups to interview with. The Register said that HD-DVDs were better than Blu-Rays. Their slogan is "Biting the hand that feeds IT." Simple mistakes like this can bury a company.

After a long day from work, I turned on my computer to check my email. Lo and behold! There was a VCS update. I forgot about the VCS, to tell you the truth. Apparently they're delaying production to put in better specs. Why am I not surprised? Maybe that's a good thing? Maybeeeeeeeee? ? Probably not.

I got the email as well. I wonder if backers will ever receive something. I have no faith that it'll be anything like they've said, but will there be something at all?

Another update came out. I'm starting to believe that this thing will see the market...for about 10 seconds. No one outside of the Indigogo campaign will want one. It will be more successful than the Retro VGS though.

It will be more successful than the Retro VGS though. How did it give you confidence that it'll come out? They have specs and microchip orders. I think AMD will make what they bought from the Indiegogo campaign, but I don't think they will make more for the store fronts. I'm sure some will be available online, but that is it. There aren't enough fanboys to put it over the top.
