Really good stuff, thanks for posting it, dschult3! stratogustav - It's just instantly recognizable and a very "video game sound", isn't it? Besides the Atari 2600 in general, the only other sound effects I find so iconic are the NES Mega Man ones and Mega Drive Sonic.

I find it amazing that people still make Jag games. How many people actually have one of these? This game looks OK, but it looks as if they are only taking advantage of the 68000 processor. Not many games took full advantage of both the Tom and the Jerry processors, and those games usually sucked. This looks like a solid attempt to make a good game, though.

This looks like it has potential. My daughter (who is 1 1/2) was bobbing her head to the music. I don't know though. Is this Jag quality? I don't even know what Jag quality is, to tell you the truth. It looks like it could be fun.

I seriously cannot believe this is a 2600 game. What kind of sorcery did they use to do this? Count me impressed.

Nice port. I had no idea that game wasn't in the Atari 2600 already. It was a big arcade hit back then, according to the data.

It seems like the Jaguar is getting some love recently.
Speedball II looks like it could be fun. I'm not a fan of the Dizzy franchise, and it doesn't look like it takes advantage of the 64bits of power at all. The game looks like a bad 16 bit port, if you ask me.

AtariAge has a sale right now, and I had to have this because I love Mappy, and this is virtually a flawless port on the 2600 of all things. How this is possible is beyond me.

Did you get your copy yet, Balder? Yes I got them not too long ago. I'm at my apartment in the city where I study, so I won't be able to play them until I visit my parents again since my Atari is at that place. I'll go home next week though, and then I'll play some.

A bunch of new homebrew game videos were just dropped to YouTube via Atari Age. These are a few of my favorites:
This is just ridiculous. This is getting close to black box NES level of graphics. I love it!
Apparently the Atari Jaguar is alive and well. This game actually looks (dare I say it?) FUN!
This looks interesting. I'd love to compete against someone else just to see who could go the furthest in this game.

These homebrews are really cool. The 1983 crash would not had happened with this much support.
