For a quick rundown: The (Gamespot) list of winners in their respective categories, together with other nominees. Did any of your favorites make the lists? All I have to say is: NieR: Automata rocks! (literally - won best music, also nominated for best RPG and best narrative) Take that Breath of the Wild...Senua too - Nice to see Ninja Theory's experiment paid off. I have now officially run out of excuses not to play it...Good choices all round I must say. But no mention of Andromeda or Battlefront?... Come on!  Ok the Battlefront part was a joke, but give Andromeda a bit of credit, a nomination in something at least...  |

Are GOTY awards usually this bad? I just remember I stopped paying attention after CoD4 won best graphics back when it was released. Not to say CoD 4 didn't have good graphics but I remember Unreal Tournament 3 and possibly Crysis being in the running as well.

Don't be like that. Andromeda may have been misguided, but for everything I've seen about it, Wolfenstein II might be the worst AAA game released this year.

Some people have no taste. It was a good gheyme... Only the true fans of Mass Effect would understand... 
Seriously though, my one dissappointment in terms of the winners was Horizon Zero Dawn not winning anything... But I suppose you can't hope for much with Zelda & Mario in the mix.  |

I thought the show has actually been getting better over the years, more respectable and with more substance. I'm of a similar opinion to Happy Console Gamer in his vid about it.
Btw, for anyone that's still interested Senua's Sacrifice (winner of best performance, best audio, and games for impact) is currently on sale on PSN for $23 (down from $30) for one more day only (ends 12/10 midnight). I think I'll get it myself right now.
